*Warning: Super honest post ahead.

After almost 14 years of marriage I feel like I still wield some power.  C’mon, I can’t be the only girl out there who is trading IT away.

“Ug. I think I have a headache.” Is commonly heard uttered from my lips.  Sometimes it is legit!

Back rub begins.  Le Sigh.

“Honey really, “ I lament “I’m sorry I’m just SO tired.”

Then Hubby pulls out the big guns.  He offers to let me sleep in the next morning, wash my car, and go grocery shopping.  As a last ditch effort he offers to take the kids WITH HIM on his grocery run. 

Suddenly I am all kinds of in the mood. 

Did I just prostitute myself out for a clean car, a quiet uninterrupted nap and some snacks?

Sheesh.  Next time I am holding out for jewellery.

    1. I read a news article (which of course I can’t find now) that said that men helping around the house actually IS a turn on for women. And a lower level of stress (like not having to take your kids grocery shopping) can put you in the mood.

    3. LOL Well, I know I’m not alone which is a good thing. I’ve done as much just to avoid cooking dinner. Ha! …You’re right, should at least hold out for jewelry.

    13. *sigh* such is marriage – you got to give a little to get a little (sorry, couldn’t help myself!). It’s always been this way and will continue to be this way. And yeah, definitely hold out for some bling next time!
