A couple of months ago a little e-mail dropped into my inbox that asked me if I was interested in learning more about a great brand, Swiffer. Huh, I kind of laughed. I am the Mama to a long haired diva of a cat and a giant Great Dane Pup. I also happen to be convinced there are never enough hours in the day. Didn’t I already knew everything there was to know about Swiffer?
The opportunity presented was to become an Ambassador for the brand and have a chance to pay it forward in the community over the next year. Now this was interesting, sign me up! So late last month I hopped a plane to Cincinnati and took a whirlwind tour with an excited team of social media influencers from across Canada and the United States.
We congregated at Proctor and Gamble Head Offices. At this fabulous three day event not only did we learn about all things Swiffer, but we also had a crash course on the history of P&G. There’s a museum right at the Head Offices where you can learn all about their history and see some of the incredible packaging from yesteryear. Did you know they started as a tiny soap company?The commemorative packaging on this soap, I think it needs to make a come back!
Beyond the soap were so many other blasts from the pat, including this walk down memory lane for me. Anyone else have a Dad that wore Old Spice? I can smell it now!

Some other highlights from the trip included a tour of the city, some fairly incredible dinners, and the opportunity to do our very own Amazing Race, Swiffer Style!
Divided into teams we “raced” around the city with our own drivers completing tasks and giving away some of those coveted green boxes of incredible swiffer products. Our friendly little team might have teared up a little as we gifted a box to to the Habitat of Humanity, and to a sweet soul at the dog park who had never in her life had the opportunity to try a Swiffer. We taught her how to properly Swiffer (in an S motion to capture all the little bits and pieces) and sent her on her way with a smile on her face and a warm feeling in our hearts. I know we made that sweet lady’s life a little easier that day.
Swiffer is a product I use daily in my home. It helps me to keep on top of the crazy without taking time away from my family. The Swiffer Effect helps me get my cleaning done faster so I can get on with living!
Over the next year my job as a Swiffer Fanatic is going to provide me with some great opportunities to pay it forward, providing tips on the newest products, host some fab giveaways and give back to my community. It’s going to be all kinds of wonderful and I hope you will stay tuned for all the excitement!

Sounds like a fun trip! There’s nothing quite as great as being able to bring people unexpected gifts! I love having a swiffer wet jet. My husband uses it, not me, but I like that he can wash the floor without scrubbing on his hands and knees or using a gross mop that spreads dirt around.
