How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Defeated By A Chocolate Chip Cookie

in Everyday on 04/20/15

????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

Drastic weather changes means headaches galore.

Extra headaches make me super moody.

Hormonal swings triggers emotional eating.

Sometimes I feel like a hamster stuck on a very cruel hamster wheel.

This past week, I did what I could to take care of me.

I  drank my 8 glasses of water every day, actually, more like 10.

Ate healthy meals.

Choose the stairs over the elevator.

Hit the treadmill.

Got a solid seven hours of sleep a night.  This is a minor miracle.

Then I picked up that cookie dough and muffin mix I ordered months ago for the girls school fundraiser.

It called to me. Bake me! Bake me!

I baked it.

I ate it.

Laugh away scale.

Defeated by headaches and the power of a Chocolate Chip Cookie.

Sometimes you just need to eat a chocolate chip cookie! 🙂 Sounds like you are doing great. Keep doing what you are doing and remember, life is too short not to have a chocolate chip cookie every once-in-a-while. 🙂

oh wow you get that cookie dough that calls out to you, too. although better to be defeated by one cookie than by the entire batch!

Sometimes you just have to let these things go. You were great 95%of your week. What’s a cookie or two?

This is what I will tell myself again this weekend when I dive into a big old bag of chips! LOL

Leaving the house behind and headed to Ontario cottage country. 🌲☀️
The hubby and I are planning a 7 night lakeside escape just a few hours from home, and honestly, this is where the girl math really starts mathing. After an expensive year, I’m extra grateful for our HomeExchange membership — and I love browsing all the gorgeous lakefront homes nearby!

Do you have a favourite town or lake in cottage country? Tell me!!

One annual membership fee + listing our home = unlimited swaps all year long. Affordable luxury travel for the win.
