How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Today I Did Nothing

in Everyday on 01/30/15

Today I did nothing, and yet I never stopped?

Got up this morning and got those kids off to school.  Job one done.

Grabbed that first cup of coffee and prepared to attack the day!

Ohh but first, must just check in with one girlfriend.  Just a quick call. Is there such a thing?  Thank goodness for coffee/phone dates!

Threw in a quick load of laundry.

That puppy was full of it this morning.  Had to play with the pup before I even attempted to do one more thing.

Finally, down to business.

Wait, Shopping emergency.  No, really.  My BlueEyed girl needed me at the mall.  How could I ignore that?

Shopping and coffee.  Time well spent.

Home again, loaded down with bags.

Checked the e-mail.

So much spam.

A sale downtown!  Had to check that out.

Time suck….I mean Twitter was calling,

Then facebook.

Ack forgot to run the dishwasher through last night.  Fixed that.  Then had to tidy the entire kitchen.  How do things get so messy, so quickly?

Noticed my nails are UGLY.  A little polish will fixed those right up.

So hungry.

Groceries.   Everyone was at the grocery store.

Picked up the kids.

Laundry in the dryer.

Cooked up a super fast dinner and got ready to start the carpool crazy.

More coffee.

Answered more e-mails.  They never stop.

Pick up time from dance.

School Meeting at the library at 8pm.

Got distracted by the glorious internet again.  Must find a cottage to rent this summer.  How many days until summer?

Helped with homework.  Empowered those babes to do their best.

Where did the day go?

This my friends is how you waste a day in the Suburbs.  Hope your day was more productive than mine!

Soooooo exhausting. I need a nap after reading about your day.

That seems to be the consensus! Better start scheduling in nap time 🙂

That sounds like a super productive day to me. Whew! I had to catch my breathe as I was reading 😉

Perhaps if I had made a list of things, and then scratched them off as I went, it would have felt more like time well spent, less like a hamster stuck on a wheel 🙂

Funny how food always ends up taking a back seat when we get busy!
Hope you have a restful weekend!

If I had been smart enough to schedule in a nap, at least I would have felt like I accomplished one thing. Must remember to do that tomorrow!

I laughed all the way through this post. I can FEEL YOUR PAIN. lol I might rename my whole blog, ‘Today I Did Nothing.’

Hope you have a wonderfully productive day tomorrow. It always helps to have one productive day, anyway, in my opinion. 😉
