I went to turn the light off last night… ![]()
and was startled by what I saw.
I was looking at my Mother’s hands.
Sigh. When did that happen?

Hi .. found your blog through canadianbloggergirl.blogspot.com ..
Don’t think your hands look old at all … I sometimes see my Mom when I look in the mirror.
You have lovely hands!
Haha, just wait until it’s your grandmother’s hands.
I had teh same thing happen to me…except I was looking at me feet :O)
It sneaks up on you! I was thinking the same but insert Nana for Mom. My wedding band was my Nana’s so it’s even easier to picture. I miss her 🙁
All I could do was look at your pretty nails!! 🙂
I felt the same way a couple months ago. I looked at my hands and was amazed at how much they reminded me of my grandmothers hands when I was a young child. I wrote a blog post about it but never published it.
So funny! I am not quite there yet, but I know it is soon upon me. They are quite lovely hands though if that makes you feel better!
what are you talking about…i think your hands/skin looks good. pretty nails too! 🙂
I’ve totally been noticing the same thing with my hands! Not the shape of my hand, but the way my skin looks! I mean I have huge fingers (size 13 and 3/4 ring finger!) and my mom’s are not big at all. But the way her skin looks….so weird!

You are too funny. Well they are nice pretty hands! LOL. My moms hands have long nails painted strong obnoxious colors. My hands look fat and stubby and grubby. I don’t think my hands will ever look like my mom’s
Funny how that happens. Once I said, “I do,” my life hit the fast forward button. Ten years later and I’m seeing my mother looking back at me in the mirror a little more every day. Such is life, I guess.
Love the french manicure! 🙂
Well, your mother has very nice hands. And I love your nails!
But, sigh. I know what you mean. I am noticing those things, too. And I’m not okay with it. Let’s drink our sorrows away at BlissDom, shall we? Doesn’t drinking keep us young… or something? 😉
I have had the same thing happen with me too! Even when I look at myself in the bathroom mirror, I see my Mom looking back at me..
I really miss her, as she passed away back in 1987, at the young age of 55..
Blessings,
~Lynn
