How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Tired of the Tears

in Everyday on 06/09/10

A girlfriends father passed away this week.  Suddenly 65 seems so very young….

My daughter did not make the team she spent all year working for.  Her heart is breaking, and mine is right along with it.

I have to go for an MRI…I’m sure not sure scared out of my freaking mind everything will be okay, and somehow this makes me cry.

A dentist appointment this week where I get to choose if I want to have freezing or not?  Huh? Okay, this doesn’t make me cry but kind of scares the crap out of me.  Shouldn’t the Dentist, you know, the expert make this decision?

Last night I was touched when super sweet Taylor Matthew’s Dad swelled with pride as his son performed on American Idol (*thank you PVR).  The pride in his eyes as his son sang his heart out….more tears.

Sweetness

This poor bird flailing in the oil as captured by The Canadian Press.  More tears.  How can BP ever make this right?

bird in oil

Prayers for the departed and the sick, hope for the lonely, cheers for the sweetness….pass the kleenex.

So, enough with the tears.

Had to get it off my chest.

Next post, I’ll bring back the joy.

Gawd, now I’m bawlin’ and squawlin’!

And just my opinion, BP can’t make it right cuz when/if they ever really try, it’s too damn late.

Oh hugs to you.. I am sad to hear about your daughter not making the team.. I do want to cry every time I hear a sad story about the oil spill. I can’t watch it anymore..

Sending Smiles to help wipe the tears away..

I think it’s okay to allow yourself a good cry. It can be a great stress reliever. **hugs**

It’s all part of life, though. Makes it all the more important to focus on everything good, all the gifts that are presented to us every day.

I recently posted on how the news is making me mental and how we can all make a difference in our own way. Still, it’s sad to have to comfort a grieving friend (my father also died suddenly at 65) and a disappointed child who worked so far toward a goal. Hugs to you, MM! XOXO

I’m sorry about your daughter. My friend’s sister spent years practicing piano to get into an exclusive sound engineer program. No one every prepared like she did, she had no personal life. She didn’t get in. Now she’s a prize-winning architect.

Your MRI will be fine. Lots of people get them. It’ll be OK.

      No comment on BP. 🙁

Everybody has weeks like that, where so many things seem to tug at your heart. All those tears help us appreciate the joy all the more when it returns.

Oh, honey. I know. A friend lost her baby last night, while another is pacing in the ICU, waiting for news. There are times when life is just hard. Sending prayers for your MRI
