Goodbye to that sweet silent cup of coffee in the morning. Sigh.
Goodbye to the untold hours I had to read, and comment on blogs.
Goodbye to my long uninterrupted showers. I will miss you.
Goodbye to lunch dates with adults, with cutlery and linen napkins.
Goodbye my precious manis and pedis. There is no time for you now.
Goodbye to gossipy uninterrupted phone chats!
Goodbye to the quiet.
School’s out for summer!!
HELLO to the noise.
Hello to “There is nothing to eat. I don’t want that She’s bothering me.”
Hello to “Can I have a play date. Please. Now? Please. Why not?”
Hello to pink paint on the deck, and marker on the table.
Hello to sticky melted popsicles running down fingers and dripping off chins.
Hello to rowdiness in the pool, giggles and screams of delight.
Hello to soccer games and grass stains.
Hello to sunscreen, sunburn and swimming by the hour.
Hello to falling off bikes and swings, bumps on the head, splinters in bare feet and Frisbees to the face. Umm. Yes, this is a home of summertime klutzes.
Hello to picnics outside, butterfly chasing and late nights under the stars.
Hello to sneaking in the occasional late night skinny dip!
Don’t hate me, but I do love these two months of “freedom”.
Cheers to all things summer!

Summer can be crazy, but you gotta love it!
Hello to my schedule being just as busy. What happened…I thought summer meant lazy times. Oh well, enjoy your summer & all the fun things that go along with it. Woo hoo!

Those are the sweet memories of our youth… that’s why I love my mom so much, only when we’re older do we realize what we put our parents through! Now it’s being paid backwards! *grin*
Have a great summer with the kiddos!!
Summertime! Gotta love it!
I am totally with you. I love it as well. I love the break from the routine and getting to actually spend time with the kids rather than just being a chauffeur. Enjoy and I hope it doesn’t mean we’ll be hearing less from you.xo
Hehe…Enjoy the summer with the girls……..try to fit some time in for yourself if you can 🙂

hehe, I love all the fun summer activities too- but the last 4 years have been “summer” because my boys weren’t in school yet and I am a SAHM. I am thinking how much I will miss them this fall when they start Pre-k… I don’t know what I’ll do with myself! =)
I have mixed feelings about school being out, because I am a teacher. I love having the time off, but I’m now realizing that with a toddler at home, going to work is something of a break.
I just happened upon you blog …I so get this! Too funny, too too sweet to!

Yes to being present and enjoying ALL circumstances.
I have been the worst blogger ever lately…thanks to summer. My kids have already been out for a month!!! It’s amazing how “free” time with kids becomes so hectic 🙂
You guys have two months of summer too? Yes, the noise and the constant chaos happening with the kids at home which is why I set up activities for them to do but that only sustain peace and order for 2 hours at the most.
I so relate! I have moved from the comfort of my a/c and office on the couch to sitting on the back porch in the summer heat all day. Blegh.
