I got through my dental appointment today.  Without a mental breakdown or a single tear!  Rewarded myself with some indulgent shopping.

Jumped for joy when I found the cutest shirt on sale.  Marked down from $80.00 to $25.99!  Woot woot!

When the 69 year old cashier was checking me out and congratulating me on the “beautiful blouse” I was buying I had a moment of self pity and thought “Oh Crap..I just bought myself an old lady shirt.” 

Was so distracted by the thought that I was ageing prematurely, that I momentarily forgot where I parked my car.

Drowned my sorrows in McDonald’s coffee and Muffins. 

Wrapping Up.  Dentists are still bad, 39 is not old, and carbs are good.

This is how I roll.

    2. The old lady comment cracked me up. I was in Coldwater Creek awhile back and grabbed a shirt and thought…this is so cute. Then I notice all the elderly women swarming around looking at the same shirts. Yikes!!! What happened? It was just “yesterday” that I was shopping with teenagers. Nope. I’ve graduated. I shop with old people. Lol.

    6. From $80 down to $25? I’d be proud of myself find a blouse mark down that much. Don’t worry about your age, most retail cashiers tell you your item is beautiful as a way of complimenting your pick and to make you feel good about your purchase. Some are trained to talk that way. I’ve got friends who work in the retail business. Wink, wink ^_^

    13. What I wouldn’t give to be 39! Glad you survived the dental appt. Oh, and I wouldn’t worry about the blouse being an “old lady” shirt unless you see that “old lady” wearing it! LOL..

    14. Dentist are bad!!!! I’ve got ot get a tooth pulled soon because they can’t reach the spot where the filling needs to go 🙁 They did offer to “zonk” me out for it. ick!
