How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Ramblings of a Woman Crazed by Chocolate

in Everyday on 04/05/10

EasterEggs

Why can’t I stop at 1 or even 2 Easter Eggs?  I limit my kids chocolate intake. How about a little self control.  Sigh.

Um, of course this does NOT include the time, and by “the time” I mean this afternoon, when I bribed my kids with chocolate.  Yep.  They pulled weeds, I paid them in Easter Candy.  Win Win.  Got rid of the candy so I don’t eat it, and I got one flower bed weeded.  That my friends, is quality parenting.

Is Spring in the air? I got checked out by no less then 3 dudes at the park today. Either I am looking goood or I have some candy foil in my teeth.

EasterCreamEggsAre Easter Cream Eggs getting smaller?  Why don’t they last as long as they used too?  Do they even look smaller or has all the sugar altered my visual perception?  When I was little I was afraid to eat Easter Cream Eggs, I was pretty sure those babies were full of nothing but raw yolk.  Yeah, I never claimed to be a smart kid.  My butt and skin would be so much better off if I had never discovered their true gooey goodness.

We have been home from our Florida vacation for two weeks and 3 of our 4 suitcases are still not unpacked.  Domestic Goddess of the Year!  I’m thinking I should use my current sugar rush to do some laundry…or maybe just book us another trip!

I have a killer headache and can’t figure out if it’s because I’m crashing, coming down from all the chocolate last night or because my body is going into withdrawal cause I cut myself off.  Either way.  Must go get more bunny.

Easter dinner takes HOURS to prepare, 20 minutes to eat, and days to clean up from.  It was all worth it the moment my SweetGirl declared “It smells that Grandmas house on Thanksgiving in here!”  Yeah me and my Hubby’s mad turkey cookin skills.

Hope your Easters were full of love, turkey and of course, chocolate.

We have no Easter candy in the house…which means I have less to blog about…wait! I have M&M’s! Hmmmm…

Those Cadbury eggs have been recalled due to salmonella in the past…and I ask you WHY that is? It’s friggin sugar! Do you know how hard it is to grow bacteria in sugar??? Stay away from those, stay awaaaaaaaaaaaaay!!!

I’ve been away too long…my comments are all wonkey.

      Foil in teeth is awesome.

Oh, a place to confess!! Thank God. I gave myself the worst chocolate headache this weekend.

Why can I not stop? And the newest killer for me? The Reese’s peanut butter eggs.

Someone help me…they don’t make enough Tylenol for what I did to myself this weekend.

Hilarious post. thanks for the laughs!!!

Cadbury eggs…. oh how I love them…. I resisted the urge to buy them every time I saw them… but I’m still not sure why. Now Easter is over and I can’t find any at the half off sales…. guess I’ll have to do with what was in my Easter basket.

I have been eating massive quantities of chocolate, as well. I can’t stop myself…EVER! And I think cream eggs have shrunk, as well. Love those things 🙂

Most of my Easter dinner went into the garbage because my Cornish Game Hens that my husband had to have…were undercooked.

      I was wishing i’d made a ham…you can’t screw up a ham….

I like chocolate, but those Cadbury eggs are way too sweet for me.

I don’t like Cadbury eggs or jelly beans, blech, but I luuurve malted easter eggs, the ones you can lick and turn your lips blue. You know those ones? YUM! I can eat like a gallon of those, no problem. Good thing they don’t have them in China! I don’t have to have self control.

My husband was telling me about the Creme Eggs that he used to have back in Canada when he was young… and then we saw the same Creme Eggs at the supermarket over the weekend and these were HUGE. I had to hold him back from getting one. We got teeny tiny Nestle Krispy Crunch ones instead. 🙂

My Easter was full of rest, vitamin C and Olive Leaf. The chocolate will be eaten when I find some on sale! 😉

I have an award for you!

      Hugs!!

YES! Eggs are smaller. Now, you might not believe this, as I am not super domestic, but my suitcases? HAVE to be unpacked within an HOUR of me getting home. I know. odd trait.
