How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Life Would Be Easier If….

in Everyday on 09/30/20

I’m sure we all wish there was world peace, no famine, cures for the worst of diseases and the end of Covid.  You know, the perfect pageant queen answers.  The big wishes are obvious and universal.  Today I’m just after a few subtle changes to the way the world works. A few small tweaks that would make my day a tiny bit easier.  Ya know,  cause it’s all about me.

I wish popcorn, chips  and all the cakes were calorie free.  At least on the weekends.

I wish Fall would last longer and winter was sooo much shorter.  I have a feeling it’s going to be a very. long. winter.

Life would be easier with less cleaning to do.  I wish toilets were self cleaning and clean laundry would fold itself.

I wish pets didn’t shed.  Oh my word the dog hair!

Wouldn’t it be amazing if your feet never hurt and blisters weren’t a thing? I wish new boots were already broken in when you bought them.

Cracked screens suck.  I wish cell phones bounced.  Sigh.

When my friends and family hurt – I hurt.  I wish I could take away the pain of some of those I love the most.

I’m tired and out of ideas.  I wish someone would drop off a fully cooked dinner for me tonight.  Umm and since we’re wishing – dessert too please.

I wish the new season of The Handmaid’s Tale was available now!  Have you watched it?

That is all.  For today anyway.

What little things would you wish for?  Go ahead, dream big!

Love your post! I agree with so many items on your wish list! My ultimate top one wish would to be able to ease the pain, suffering and stress of loved ones and dear friends!!

I wish telemarketers would get a life…..so frustrated with calls coming in early in the morning and late at night! If one more person calls wanting to clean out our septic bed, I think I’ll scream! And we don’t even have a septic bed!

Having never been to Europe, I wish I had done that when I was so much younger!

I’d love it if someone would offer to come in and clean all of my unused silverware and serving dishes…lol! Any takers? It’s a boring and tedious job! That would be a dream come true!

How fantastic it would be if someone would offer us their cottage up north for a week or so? Ahh, the memories!

Finally I’d love to be able to eat everything I wish without gaining Covid weight! Well, you did say to dream big! Impossible I know! Now off to make some brownies!!

This all sounds so lovely…especially the no winter part. And can we add chocolate to the non calorie weekend too please?

Oh I think we have to add chocolate to that list!

Life would be easier if ….someone would wipe off the dogs feet for me every time she came in. I hate this weather!

I will sign up for that! I HATE this time of year with the rain and the muck. Grr
