I think I was born with the need to wander.  I adore books about places far away.  I’m fascinated by television programs that reveal the culture, life and style of countries flung far and wide.  I don’t just dream in colour, I dream in travel.  Yes, my names is Stephanie and I’m addicted to travel.  I daydream, plan, and save pennies and even better miles any way I can, alway working towards that next big escape.  After all, vacations truly are the only thing that make us richer.  One way I’m saving for that next big trip is as a loyal Aeroplan member.  It’s so easy that everyone should be doing it! Aeroplan has 150 partner brands and more than 170 online retailers in the Aeroplan eStore so I can easily earn miles every time I shop and reach my travel goals sooner.

  • Aeroplan is continuing to enhance and improve their loyalty program, giving their members even more of what they want.  And what they want is value, ease and flexibility, allowing people to travel more, faster and with certainty.
  • Air Canada recently announced changes to Aeroplan to make it more flexible and member-friendly.  The changes include: full refunds within 24 hours of booking, the option to refund your flight reward up to two hours before departure, a reduction of the aeroplan.com refund fee and complimentary changes and refunds for Air Canada Altitude SuperElite 100K members. WOW!
  • Aeroplan also has the lowest fixed fare redemption options among Canadian loyalty travel programs.

And now on to even BIGGER news!  To celebrate 35 years of loyalty, Air Canada is launching Aeroplan’s biggest contest yet.  TEN lucky members will win 3.5 million Aeroplan Miles and make that dream bucket list trip a reality. Not only that, 35 members also have the chance to win 100,000 miles daily during the contest.  Can you imagine?  Oh the places you could go!

  • From August 22 to September 25, Aeroplan is giving away a total of 38.5 million miles for 45 lucky winners.
  • Ten grand prizes of 3.5 million miles will be drawn on November 12 and announced later.
  • Thirty-five winners will receive 100,000 miles each, through daily draws and announced weekly.
  • The more you participate, the more chances you’ll have to win one of the ten grand prizes.   Members who win daily prizes are still eligible to win a grand prize.
  • Note:  All members need to do is register and start earning or redeeming miles for a chance to win one of the grand prizes.

Here’s how to enter:

  • Register to enter the contest by going to aeroplan.com/35 and submitting your Aeroplan number.
  • Members can win two ways:

Grand Prize Draw of 3.5 million miles:  Every transaction with an Aeroplan partner counts as an automatic entry for the grand prize. Each time you earn miles with Aeroplan’s many partners, redeem miles for a flight or hotel stay, or donate miles via Aeroplan’s Member Donation Program, you’re entered for one of ten grand prizes. Aeroplan affiliated cardholders get 35 bonus entries if they make at least one transaction with their card during the contest period.

Share on Social to win a Secondary Prize of 100,000 miles: Share your picture-perfect trips, tag the people you would go with and hashtag #withAeroplan for a chance to win a daily secondary prize. Participants can post every day for more chances to win.

What’s a transaction? Transactions include earning and redeeming miles by making purchases on Aeroplan’s eStore, booking hotels, car rentals, by taking a flight with Air Canada or any of the other more than 25 Star Alliance partners, by booking packages with Air Canada Vacations and by redeeming miles for rewards including gift cards, merchandise, activities and events.     3. I love that Aeroplan is now more flexible than ever! It gives me a sense of comfort knowing that of anything arises, I would be able to get a full refund within 24 hours of booking or even get a refund of my flight reward up to two hours before departure.

    5. Love Aeroplan. I have been a member for years. My daughter and I use who ever has points at the time to cover flights. I try to book early so I can use less points as possible.

    9. I have had Aeroplan for years; the quickest way to accumulate points is signing up for bonuses through credit cards; if you have good credit its always a good way to do it. But I wish they offered more perks, like access to lounges, etc. I am always travelling so I am accumulating points in multiple ways through Aeroplan and through other providers; a bonus is a bonus!

    11. I seem to spend all my holidays visiting friends and relatives spread through Europe, 4 of my kids and 6 grandkids live there. A couple of times I also got to visit Australia, since one of my daughters & her family lived there for several years – especially nice since we were in the middle of winter here and it was summer there.

    13. I will have to register, I’m always planning a trip. I have always wanted to go to Switzerland and Turkey.

    14. I once used Aeroplan points to fly down to the US for my brother’s wedding. If you save them up and use them for flights at the right time on the right routes you really can get good travel deals, you just have to be willing to be flexible.

    15. I only recently started saving up points with Aeroplane but I find myself checking their site to check out their deals and dreaming about where I could go!
