VIP Backstage Tour & Ticket Giveaway! Corteo – Cirque du Soleil

in Lifestyle on 05/02/19

Shivers and goosebumps.  Have you heard?  Cirque du Soleil is coming to London ONTARIO and trust me when I tell you this is a show you do not want to miss!  Read on for all the details on this incredible event, where you can get tickets and, enter for the chance to WIN a VIP Backstage Tour and Tickets to the show!

Introducing Corteo.  Cirque du Soleil’s latest amazing arena production.  The dazzling event will be presented at London’s Budweiser Gardens from June 13 to 16, 2019, for a limited run of only six performances.

What is Corteo?  It means cortege in Italian, a joyous procession, a festive parade imagined by a clown. Mauro, the Dreamer Clown, is the central character who imagines his own funeral taking place in a carnival atmosphere, watched over by quietly caring angels.  However, instead of mourning, the funeral cortege celebrates the here and hereafter with laughter and exuberance, juxtaposing the large with the small, the ridiculous with the tragic, and the magic of perfection with the charm of imperfection. Corteo is said to be a timeless celebration in which illusion teases reality.  Oh my goodness, I can’t wait!

I’ve had the pleasure of attending a Cirque du Soleil show in the past and promise this kind of event is one you won’t soon forget.  This time, the stage brings the audience into a theatrical atmosphere like never seen before in Cirque du Soleil arena shows. The set curtains, inspired by the Eiffel Tower, and the central curtains, which were hand painted, give a grandiose feel to the stage. This will set the tone for the poetry of Corteo.

The large cast of Corteo includes 51 acrobats, musicians, singers and actors from all around the world. It promises to be pure magic.  Tickets are on sale now and are available for purchase by visiting: https://www.cirquedusoleil.com/corteo

However, I have some truly exciting news for one lucky reader of How To Survive Life Of The Suburbs.

If I won I would take Miss R because based on our experience with her at Stratford Festival I think she would spend the entire evening on the edge of her seat taking in every aspect of the show.

It would be me and my husband for sure. He is always in awe of shows like that but we’ve never had the chance to go to one. Plus that’s right before the kids get out of school and chaos abounds.

I would take my big sister! I would take her because many, many, many years ago when she was studying in Quebec for University, I went to visit her for a few weeks, and she took me to my very first Cirque show! It utterly enthralled me – it was a visual feast for the eyes!

It would be amazing to relive that!
