After arriving in the sunny south it takes a minimum of 3 days before I can put away the Visine and under eye concealer. Black circles under your eyes are not sexy. I do not miss them.
I feel better, healthier, dare I say sexier with a tan! I wasn’t meant to be so white.
Coconut smell – from the sunscreen, the drinks and yes, the real coconut too is one of the most intoxicating smells in the world.
I don’t know why I even pack shorts, I don’t like to wear shorts. I’m a woman in my 40’s and I need to remember to pack fewer shorts and more stretchy, flowy eatin’ pants!
Palm trees make my unexplainably happy. It can’t be normal.
The Dad in this family is way more fun then me while on vacay. He never tires of volleyball. Doesn’t’ nag about putting on more sunscreen or push vegetables or fruit. Also, he doesn’t get lost walking around the massive resorts. Hey wait, maybe that part makes me fun. Some of the best adventures are found when you are good and lost.
Life without alarm clocks makes me giddy!
Only on vacation does it seem reasonable to pay $25.00 US dollars for two pictures. But c’mon, how cute is this picture.
Even the best vacays have bumps. We lost the room keys countless times, snapped at each other a wee bit (hey – hangry happens) and were very thankful for a suite that let us spread out and breathe. When travelling with your family it’s important to know your limit and play within it 🙂
My Husband, my girls, they all got the souvenirs they wanted. I did not. One week away, not one decent picture of the four of us. Shhhh happens. I guess we will have to go back?
The world seems a happier more peaceful place when you are sitting in a Bali Bed, staring out at the ocean drinking champagne with your family. I don’t know when it happened, but my family went and grew up on me. I am blessed. This vacation was pure magic.
One week can feel like two days when you are with the ones you love. When you are where you are supposed to be.
Only 11 more months until the next Spring Break. Sigh.
