It’s finally here.  Sweater weather!  If you’re prepared for the change of seasons, cool autumn days and crisp cool nights can be a reason to celebrate.  I mean, what could be better than curling up by the fire with someone you love, a warm cozy blanket, maybe a great coffee or glass of wine, a big bowl of buttered popcorn and of course a great movie.  It sounds like the making of an epic date night!

As the Mama of two teens, “date night’ often happens at home.  After I get my kiddos all settled in from where ever they need to be, and I’m done with my long day of work the last thing I feel like doing is heading back out again.  So what could be better than a special evening at home?  With this top of mind, I set out to create a wish list, complete with budget, pulled out that Flipp app,  and got to work.  What would I need to take my regular date nights to a whole new level?

Coffee or wine.  Um, can I say both?  We like to start with coffee and end the evening with a great glass of wine.  Linen Chest has $100 off the Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine.  This little baby is firmly on my wish list.

 Thanks to Flipp I was able to quickly sort through all my local flyers and create my shopping list.  As I was short on time and eager for a date night TONIGHT I was also able to send my list to my Hubby and ask him to pick up those wine glasses and popcorn on his way home from work.  Winning!  The Flipp app really is amazing.

    8. Hummmmm, I’ve been married for 43 years on Nov 22nd, so the only thing I research before date night is a good local restaurant.

    9. I’ll be searching for Angus striploins on sale. Love your ideas. Definitely need some vanilla scented candles. We rarely get a date night, but my mom will be taking the kids for a hotel staycation soon. Looking forward to some alone time as we celebrate 20 years of marriage. <3 (Aww!)
