How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Healthy Lips, Confident Smile And A $150 Giveaway

in Lifestyle on 10/27/17

Vanity Insanity. That’s what I used to call it.  Actually, you can still hear me coining the phase.  In High School, I was so insecure with how I looked that if I happened to end up with a blemish on my skin I was mortified.  I whipped out the cover-up, hung my hair in front of my face, considered finding a way to skip school.  The last thing I wanted was people to be looking at me.  Looking at me ever, but to make eye contact with me when I had a pimple.  It made me feel ill.  Now, looking back, I know this was ridiculous.  Every teen gets pimples, but when you pile on bad hair, braces, being the new kid….what I wouldn’t have given for Harry Potter’s invisibility cloak back then.  Being a teen girl is hard.
I think to some degree most of us suffer from a little bit of vanity insanity.  We all want to put our best foot forward.  After all, when you feel better about yourself it’s just easier to find the joy in every day.  So we do our hair, wear make-up, apply cover-up to blemishes and redness as needed and if we are among the many who are affected by cold sores?  When they erupt, we take action as quickly as possible!

Have you ever had to deal with a cold sore?  Cold sores are the painful, itchy and unsightly blisters around the mouth that often carry a very negative stigma despite the widespread prevalence.  They are so common!

I’m lucky enough to be part of the population that does not have to deal with cold sores on a regular basis, but I have friends and family who do.  This is why I’m happy to be introducing you to lipivir® the first over-the-counter (no prescription necessary!) lip gel that is proven to reduce the frequency of cold sores among those who carry the HSV-1 virus.  It’s a game changer!
lipivir is tried, tested and loved by cold sore sufferers across Europe and aims to make cold sores a thing of past for Canadians.  Here’s how.  Purchase lipivir over the counter or simply online and then apply daily.  That simple, just incorporate it into your existing beauty routines. lipivir can be used on its own or worn under lipstick.  So easy.
Here’s everything you need to know about this amazing product and why it’s worth a try!

What is it:

*lipivir is the first prescription-free product of its kind now available for Canadians to avoid cold sore outbreaks along with the pain, stress and embarrassment that often come with them.

*lipivir is a clear gel ointment made from a unique mixture of polyethylene glycols (PEGs): a safe, non-active ingredient commonly used as filler in products like skin creams, which scientists discovered interferes with HSV-1, preventing its ability to infect healthy cells in the lips. The drug-free formula can be used alone or safely added to existing cold sore treatment regimens.

*It is available for $26.99 in a discreet 2 gram tube that lasts up to two months.

How it works:

*The product should be applied twice daily on and around the lip area to reduce the frequency of cold sores.

*You simply add this product to your daily beauty routine.

Why you would want to try it:

According to Renee Susin, Pharmacist in Halifax, NS

“Cold sore products currently on the market focus on either treating a cold sore once it has already started to emerge or covering it up. lipivir is the very first over-the-counter product of its kind available in Canada that can help sufferers prevent outbreaks.  Given the stress, embarrassment and difficulty encountered when treating an active cold sore, this new product can not only improve the well-being of those who have recurrent outbreaks but also may limit transmission of the virus.”

Where can you find it:
*To purchase online and for retail availability visit lipivir.ca.
Available for $26.99 online on Amazon.

I go for an hour walk every single day. Sometimes alone, sometimes with a friend. It is my me time. Clears my head, makes me sleep better and just makes me feel good. Our town and waterfront was made for walking too.
