How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Ready To Be #DysonClean ? ~ Giveaway ARV $599

in Lifestyle on 05/15/17

Ugh.  Does this sound familiar?  You’re expecting company in a an hour and the house is a disaster.  What you need to do is a quick “shuffle’.  Tidy the kitchen, wipe up the bathroom counters and give the floors a quick once over.  You run around, grabbing stray magazines and homework off the floor, get those dishes put away, finally get to the vacuum and FAILURE.  Why is the vacuum not SUCKING THIS TIME!  Every time with this vacuum it’s something different!  The bags full, the spinny thing won’t spin, it just won’t suck!  Why can’t I just plug in my vacuum and know it will work.

Enter the Dyson Big Ball Animal 2 into my life.

Every time I plug it in I know it will work!  Dog (or people) hair doesn’t slow it down.

It moves seamlessly from hardwood to rugs, and if the container that holds all that dirt fills up, I just press one button and empty it.  Easy Peasy.

Have you been a victim of vacuum frustration?  I want you to tell me all about it!  Take a moment to leave me a comment telling me your current frustration with your current vacuum and you could WIN your very own Dyson Ball Animal 2!

Yes you read that right!  This is your chance to WIN a Dyson Big Ball Animal 2.  ARV $599.99

Here’s how to enter: Comment below and answer this question; “What is your biggest frustration with your current vacuum?” Then use the Rafflecopter form provided to earn those extra entries.

My biggest frustration with my vacuum is that I’m using a shop vac as a vacuum, would love a real vacuum

My biggest frustration with my current vacuum? Make that vacuumS! I have a few hand me down vacuums, and there is something wrong with all of them. My hand held one that was intended for the stairs doesn’t hold a charge anymore, the ancient cannister one in the basement is ancient, and doesn’t suck anymore, and our upright one sounds like an airplane landing in our house! There is also a crack in it so you have to hold it a certain way if you want to use the hose to do stairs. SUPER frustrating. I want to get rid of all of them and replace them with just one that works great and doesn’t cause all the stress because vacuuming is actually quite relaxing!

So here is my problem with my vacuum, I don’t have one. my central vacuum broke over a year ago. I sucked up a baby wipe and it caused a fire in the canister thingy in my garage, who knew??? So as of right now I am borrowing a 30 year old electro lux from my sister, who borrowed it from my mother. It has many issues as you can imagine, for one it is very difficult to find the bags and secondly the thing a majig that holds the electric carpet cleaner is broken, so it keeps taking off and smashing into the furniture. At this point not sure who broke it, me, my sister or my mom!

My “no clog” vacuum clogs within 10 mins of use. Constantly emptying the canister. So FRUSTRATING! Ugh

      The bag keeps popping off.

My biggest frustration with my vacuum is that no matter how many times you go over the carpets there are always cat hair still on them!

    8. Jenn says

      May 15, 2017 at 5:14 pm

The biggest problem with our vacuum is that it isn’t powerful enough. I still find a ton of dog hair on the carpet and usually have to go over it again with my handheld vacuum to try to clean it some more!

    9. Andrea says

      May 15, 2017 at 5:10 pm

The problem with my vaccum is that it lost suction!

My biggest frustration is loss of suction.

We have a 20+ year old central vac that has seriously seen better days. The hose is so taped up and the actual filter in the canister in the garage needs replacing badly. I would rather a whole new system like a Dyson!

    12. Natalie says

      May 15, 2017 at 4:58 pm

Okay, don’t judge me. I’m NOT a cat lady, I just have a huge heart and can’t leave poor little baby animals outside to fight for survival against raccoons and cars and mean people who will hurt them just because they’re black cats, okay? Okay.

So my biggest frustration with my current vacuum is that it cannot keep up with the cat hair! I have *ahem* a few cats that I rescued from the big scary outside (a momma cat, her big bad protector, and her babies) plus one really old girl I rescued from the shelter. They shed like mad even though I brush them every day. And the vacuum I have is so not up to that job. They sucking power, well, SUCKS and the itty bitty bag fills up so quickly I have to change it once a week. Once. A. Week. I need a stronger, more pet friendly vacuum to keep the cat fur tumblewweds at bay!

My biggest frustration with my vacuum is that it keeps cutting out when I try to manoeuvre it and it does not suck very well. It is old and heavy.

I hate that my current vacuum is hard to manoeuvre. It’s super heavy and clumsy. This Dyson would be a game-changer for me!

      May 15, 2017 at 4:05 pm

My biggest frustration with my current vacuum is that it’s so heavy and the suction isn’t very good because there is holes in the hose that I have duct taped but it still leaks.
