A fact I’ve learned to deal with over the years.

My Hubby snores.

Like big loud truck rumbling through the Lincoln Tunnel kind of snoring.

When a man can wake himself up with his own snoring, he is an Olympian of snoring.

My man is the Gold Medal Olympian of snoring.

So how have I dealt with this?

I’ve tried “nudging” him over onto his side…with my feet.

Shushing him.  Because that’s effective.

Earplugs.

Begging.

Bitching.

Even dragging my blanket and pillow down the hall to the spare room to escape the constant sawing noise ~ the air pollution that was emitted from my sweet man.

Then one day, out of desperation or perhaps pure genius I ordered myself a White Noise Machine.

I plugged that baby in and ….the angels sang.

That night as Hubby sawed logs, I surfed through my white noise choices.  Yes, choices! To mask the sounds coming from the other side of the bed.  I found one that seemed like a match.  Kind of like the humming sound one hears when on a flight to somewhere wonderful.  Did it cover the snoring completely?  No, but it did mask it enough that I drifted off to sleep that night and every other night for the next two weeks!  It was a marriage miracle.

I love my new little toy so much I now take it with me everywhere.  Everywhere!

Thanks to the white noise machine this Mama is getting her zzzz’s.

And you know what?

A rested wife is a happy wife.

    1. I think my mom would love this. My dad snores and occasionally laughs in his sleep.

    2. My husband don’t sleep in the same room anymore because I couldn’t stand the snoring anymore but now we both get a good nights sleep and I’m not angry anymore.

    6. Wow – I wouldn’t have thought of that. In the summer our air conditioner is enough to do it so I guess it makes sense!
