How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

The Reveal ~ Garaga Doors

in Lifestyle on 09/28/16

Over the past month, my house has been through a bit of a transformation.  We decided it was time to invest in us.  Time to update our home.  One way we did this?  By changing out our garage doors.  We took our old, heavy, beaten up wood doors and with a phone call, a little wizardry that is the Garaga computer design program, and a visit from some very helpful installers, we made an amazing transformation to our home.

Where do you start with a reno like this?  At Garaga of course.  With nearly 14,000 possible combinations, you are sure to find the garage door you are looking for.

Our house went from this:

To this!

Which door did we ultimately choose?  We decided on the Triforce Classic Panel Design in Claystone.  Claystone was the colour that most closely matched the colours of our new windows and gave us the look we wanted.  We then jazzed up the doors with the addition of four windows across the top, and finished the look by adding capping along the sides.  Everything was customizable.  The result was honestly so much more than I could have ever hoped for.  The colour match is perfect and has finally given our home the updated, completed look I’ve been wanting for years.

What I adore:

These new doors have most certainly upped the property value of our home.  They have modernized the entire look of the house and added to our overall curb appeal.

We have added security. Our new doors are now tight to the ground, no  criminals nor creatures of the night can climb in.

The Garaga Doors are energy efficient.  My garage is attached to my house, so it was important to me to make sure my doors were weathertight, strong and constructed with long- lasting components.

The “vinyl capping” that we added around the sides really finished the look of the doors.  Can you love a garage door?  I’m here to tell you…yes, you can.

Not only are these doors aesthetically pleasing, but they are also virtually maintenance free.  No need to sand and paint these beauties.  Each Garaga door even comes with it’s very own guarantee.

What I didn’t expect:

The positive changes to the interior of my garage.  Once dark, (a place where spiders were certainly hiding in the shadowy corners) my garage is now light, airy and bright thanks to the windows across the top of the door.  My garage is now a happier place, one I don’t mind going in to to fetch a tool, or take out the garbage.

I was also surprised by what an absolute pleasure it was to work with the entire Car-Wal and Garaga Team.  Picking my garage doors, and questions about install were patiently answered.  This experience was a joy from start to finish.  Staff appeared to love their jobs and no request was too much.  This was not something I’ve come to expect in the world of home renovations.

If you’re thinking about a renovation for your home.  Ready to improve the overall look of your housee.  Wanting to add to the value or curb appeal of your house, or just want to change things up, I’d encourage you to think about the very first thing people see when they drive up….those garage doors.  Thanks Garaga for an incredible experience and now, the prettiest doors on the block.
