How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Saving Memories with Canvas Factory ~ $167 Giveaway

in Lifestyle on 06/20/16

Do you live in the moment?

When you’re dashing through your days; are you the Mama who is getting dirty in the sandbox with your kids, splashing in the lake, riding the rollercoaster, truly living in the moment?  Or are you the Mom who is caught behind the lens, forever trying to capture that perfect moment.  Wanting desperately to have a memory of your little one as they build that massive sandcastle, conquer the canoe, or tackle the scary ride.  I’d like to think I’m a bit of both.  Walking the line between the Mom who jumps in with both feet and just enjoys my day, while still embracing my paparazzi side, able to catch the sweet moment on film.  Not only do I treasure special outings with my family and friends, but I adore capturing those every day moments on film.  Some of my favourite pictures?  My girls jumping on the trampoline together, or the playing on the beach.  My oldest, chasing those crazy birds on the beach.  My youngest getting ready to take the stage for her ballet number, and of course any kind of sunset.

CanvasFactory

My weak point with all this memory making and taking?  Preserving those moments in some special way.  I have camera cards, all full, stashed in ziplock bags on my desk.  Great system right?  That’s why when Canvas Factory approached me and asked if I wanted to try their services I knew I had to give it a go.  Here’s what I found:

The Canvas Factory offers a simple, stream lined way, to take those memories you have stuck on your memory cards and bring them to life.  With a few quick clicks of the mouse your creative juices start to flow, and your only challenge becomes which photograph to start with!  You can choose to take your photo and blow it up into any size, create a collage, or even take that large picture and split it up into a beautiful photo canvas print.

What kind of art do you want to transform your pictures into?  I’m partial to canvas prints.  So decided to take one of my favourite memories at the lake and customize it.

Screen Shot 2016-06-19 at 3.59.35 PMI took my original photo, rotated it, centred it, and then got to work.  In under five minutes, I was done!

Screen Shot 2016-06-19 at 4.03.23 PMWith each canvas print you are given the option to choose the right size for your picture, add effects, or even add text.  Don’t like the end product?  Just hit the back button and adjust until you do.  The process is very user friendly.  As a last step you are presented with different wrapping styles for your edges before you complete your order.  It’s a breeze.

What I loved:

*How easy the process is to take a photo and turn it into art.

*If you choose a photo that isn’t of a high enough pixel quality, the program will suggest you select a different photo.

*The price point!  Starting at only $22.89 ordering from Canvas Factory is a great gift for yourself or someone you love.

*The many style options that truly allow you to take your photos and elevate them to art.

*You can upload photos from many of your favourite sites including Instagram and Facebook.

What I wish it had:

An option to brighten up my photo a little bit.  I love the picture I choose, but do wish I could have lightened the photo in the Canvas Factory program after I uploaded it.

Insider Tip:

There is a HUGE sale going on right now! (up to 70% off)
