Treasured time together over real sit down meals (with killer views).  No TV, no cell phones, no distractions.

All in all, a week spent in paradise.  It couldn’t get better than this.

Until it did.

An excursion on the Island Vibes Kitty Kat Cruise.

A three hour tour that was so much more than a boat ride.  It was an adventure.  A chance for me to pretend to be brave enough to jump off the side of a boat into the sea, to snorkel with my family and see the wonders of the ocean that lay below.

It was my “someone pinch me moment”, this can’t be real, life is too perfect right now and I feel all squishy inside kind of day.

If you have a chance on your next getaway, kick it up a notch, take your own three hour tour and experience the freedom of a sailboat.  Get our of your comfort zone, get your pulse rate up, and take a moment to reflect on truly lucky you really are.  We live in a big beautiful world, and I’m humbled that by these excursions that allow me to explore and learn with my children.  I hope one day my girls look back with fondness at the day their Mom screamed as she jumped over board, the time their parents embarrassed them as they sang along to 80s tunes blasted from the over the top speakers, and the day we all swam and explored in the crystal clear seas.  A mere three hour tour helped us made some memories to last a lifetime, how lucky are we.

    13. Words can never quite express an experience like that, but you did well. The photos are wonderful.
      I’m so happy for you, that you were able to get away with your family.
      You look healthy, too.
      A few years back, our family went to St. Martin together, it was our last trip with my mother-in-law before she passed away. When I look at photos from then, I am transported back to that happy time together.
      You, like me, will treasure those moments again and again.
