How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

My Newest Addiction, Nomad Coffee Club: Giveaway

in Lifestyle on 03/13/15

Coffee that makes you want to get out of bed in the morning!

I get a lot of mail.  I receive a lot of packages.  Rarely do I open a package and actually stop, close my eyes, take a deep breathe and do a little happy dance in the middle of my kitchen.  This is what happened just this week when I tore open the brown paper wrapping from my newest addiction.  A monthly delivery from Nomad Coffee Club.

Enthusiast PackIt took all my self control not to rip into this package right away.  I didn’t do it.  I waited for my SassyHubby to get home so we could brew up our very first cup of “Pig Iron” together.  Do I even have to tell you how much I adore the name?  Could this coffee possible live up to expectations?  I’d read so much about how it’s chosen, roasted, cared for and selected and now it smelled so good.  I didn’t dare hope this cup of Java would be as good as what I pick up at local baristas.  It was.  Sigh.  Coffee that makes you want to sit and chat.  Coffee that makes you dream of far off places?  Coffee that makes you want another cup even though it’s 11pm at night?  That is one really good cup of coffee!

Nomad Coffee Club sources different coffee for their patrons every month.  Not a simple process.  They have tested coffees from several regions in Ethiopia, Kenya, Central America and South America and look beyond the bean to the science, the trials and the artistry of the roast that culminates in the perfect coffee.  The Nomad Coffee Club tests all current supplies from their favourite roasters and selects their top picks to be included in each month’s package; a package that goes right to your front door. This means every month a subscriber can look forward to a new surprise waiting for them in their mailbox!  This is such a fun and easy way to explore and learn about the many different types of coffee in the world.  Nomad Coffee Club allows their customers to get excited about coffee.  They strive to provide their customers with the opportunity to test their palate with a variety of sophisticated and full flavours coffees all while getting that coveted caffeine boost from the comfort of your own home.  Just imagine finding that incredible surprise on your front door every month!

Pig Iron coffee cupping

Each month you can follow along as the Nomad Coffee Club posts updates to Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to show the progression of the coffee from selection to roasting to packaging.  All the coffee comes as whole beans, which helps seal the freshness. Then they send their products out to you on a monthly basis so you have a new supply every month that is fresh off the roaster.

Worthy of note: Those monthly shipping dates fall on the 20th to the 23rd of each month based on the schedule of the roaster. (Yes this means you should think about ordering right now!)
