Have You Been Hit By FOMO?

It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.  It was March Break.  Social Media feeds were, and still are, full of pictures of your beautiful friends boarding cruise ships off to exotic ports of call, walking white sand beaches, and toasting each other around roaring fires at fancy ski lodges.  You “like” the fab photos, smiling, happy for your friends, maybe reflecting back to the last time you were the one packing your bags and taking off to parts unknown.  You’re not jealous, no, not jealous at all!  That little tingle you’re feeling at the base of your skull, it’s not sadness or gladness or even envy, it’s FOMO.  YUP, you’ve been hit by the oldest travellers itch in the book, the Fear Of Missing Out!

So what do we do about it?  Does this FOMO drive us to start planing the next vacation? Do those stunning beach shots encourage us to take a trip to the Travel Agency and book some tickets out of here?  Are we inspired to pursue our favourite blogs and look for recommendations for family friendly destinations, ensuring we are better prepared for next years March Break?  In short is there a cure for the dreaded FOMO?  It’s time to find out how we all handle the itch!
