17 Years ~ Wordless Wednesday

Saturday September 7th will mark seventeen years. StephWeddingRain

Seventeen years since I dodged fat warm rain drops, forgot the stormy skies and grinned like a crazy person at that hot young guy waiting for me at the end of the aisle.

My heart was near bursting.  Excited.  Happy.  Joyful.

Now 17 years later, two kids and a few bumps and bruises along the way, he’s still my best friend, my heart, my one and only.  I’ve been with him longer than without him.  He is the calm to my storm and the peace to my frenzy.  He helps me to worry less, laugh harder,  smile more.  He might be the only one who gets my bad jokes, and for that he is my hero.  He is an incredible Father to our daughters, a gift I am thankful for every single day.  I am crazy head over heels in love, and simply can’t wait to see what the future holds.

This week I count every little blessing and say a big prayer of thanks for whatever force it was that brought us together so many years ago.
