I’m still smiling thinking about my first TIFF experience. The Toronto International Film Festival is running from September 5th-12th and I was lucky enough to attend one of the screenings. The World Premiere of Hotel Transylvania. Thanks Baba Yaga Press!
As the lights dimmed in the Princess of Wales Theatre on Saturday afternoon, Adam Sandler got the flick off to a great start. “I love you Toronto” he screamed through the theatre. “We love you Adam” came the quick witted audience replied. Canadians are fast on their toes eh?

The next hour and a half I sat back with my 3D sunglasses, my indulgent snacks and enjoyed the newest release by Sony Pictures Hotel Transylvania, directed by Genndy Tartakovsky . 
An endearing tale of a Dracula Father who more then anything wants to protect his daughter Mavis from the terrifying and dangerous world filled with scary humans. Dracula vows above all else to keep his baby safe. How? By creating a hotel for Monsters and ensuring no human being ever finds it. Of course one stray, goofy, and oh so loveable backpacker out exploring the world makes a wrong turn and ends up in the wrong place at the right time. The eve of Mavis’ 118th birthday.
With a couple of giggles for the grown-ups and some down right belly laughs for kids the movie unfolds. Hotel Transylvania boasts a quick story line, some energetic and engaging characters, and a couple of predictable plot twists. In the end we all learn the valuable lesson. Teach them well and set them free.
I loved my very first TIFF experience, my partner in crime Tanya of @EmmaSeries was a delight to spend time with, the star spotting was top notch, and the city of Toronto never disappoints. I can’t wait for the hard release date of Hotel Transylvania. This is a movie I know my youngest will enjoy! When it opens in my town I will pack up the girls, grab some tickets, some popcorn and prepare to enjoy an evening with the friendliest and funniest Monsters of the year.

Oh my gosh, what a fun experience that must have been! And I am a HUGE Adam Sandler fan; I would have been going wild just for him! LOL
