How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Karma Is A Bitch. Thank Goodness.

in Uncategorized on 08/13/12

Lately it seems I have been subjected to and confronted with some unsavoury, unwelcome and uncomfortable situations.

Unprofessional behaviour.

Rude people.

Mean girls.

Gossip whores.

Liars.  Creating mythical situation’s to make themselves seem better?

Nobody likes a liar, a gossip or a whore right?  So why does this behaviour persist?  And what is to be done about it?

When confronted with malicious behaviour that keeps you up at night, distracts you from your joy and perhaps even costs you friendships or professional contracts what is one to do?  When you know lies are being spread, girls are being mean and evil is being done, where do you start?  Do you confront these evil people and call them out on their actions?  Perhaps you gently sweep their negative behaviour under the rug?  Maybe even making excuses for the offenders?

I am a lover, not a fighter.  Perhaps it is a weakness that I do not thrive on confrontation, but that is just the way it is.  I rest in the knowledge that everyone is fighting their own battle and you truly never know what is going on behind closed doors, but seriously, sometimes don’t you just want to call a mean girl what she is?  A bitch.

Time for me to open the door and let the negative people out of my life.  Make more room for the joy.  Liars will be liars.  Gossips will one day be victims of their own game, and let’s face it Karma is a bitch.  I shall leave it up to her.

Karma

PS. Sorry to be so cryptic, but it’s cheaper then therapy. xo

You don’t need negative people in your life leave them at the curb

Agree with everyone here. If you know that you have always done your best and always take the high road and don’t create drama and if you challenge yourself to follow your heart and be a kind, caring, tolerant person every day then the negative has no place in your head or heart. I say anything or anyone that imparts only negativity on my life just has to be removed. It’s too big a time suck to deal with seagulls. (The people who crap on you and leave.)

Holy Hannah, I don’t think every ever seen you this mad. My husband lives by this motto: “Take the High Road”…

Hope things start looking up! With your sunny disposition I can’t imagine otherwise.

So very true. This is why I don’t have too many close friends, most women are just plain awful to deal with. I feel like I’m in highschool at times. I keep my peeps tight and all is good. : )

Oh, that’s too bad! I hate confrontation so probably just drift away from those who make me uncomfortable. I can’t stand a liar! Or a gossip for that matter! But lying is really awful for me! Trust thing you know!

I just recently ended a friendship with a good friend. I couldn’t take the drama and I needed to make room for people who cherish friendship as much as I do.

It’s so hard when you’re getting steamrolled. I’m sorry. But I am old and decrepit and I can tell you: I have yet to see a person who deserved to have a karma bus roll right across their foreheads, not get one. It takes time, sometimes, but it always happens.

I don’t know how people like that get away with it either, it’s mind-boggling.

Keep your chin up, keep your eyes fixed forward, before you know it, Karma will have them right where they belong.
