How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Dear Stalker

in Everyday on 07/08/12

So here is a post I never thought I would have to write.

Guess what, this is my space.  A place where I come to chat about what happens behind the closed and competitive doors in the suburbs.  MY place to tell things like I really see it; bare my soul, and from time to time embarrass the heck out myself in the process.  I know I’m on the right track because big companies want to work with me and I get e-mails from across Canada and the United States from fabulous people thanking me for a morning giggle when they needed it most or just for letting them know they are not alone in this crazy mixed up world.  Plus, it’s cheaper than therapy.

So now to my problem.

Dear Stalker,

Your interest in my blog is going to a scary place.  There is normal interest in me and my life for the intended reader and then there is you.   I know it has been discussed that you are to leave me, leave this space alone.  Clearly you are not respecting this.  Perhaps you think you are clever logging in from different computers, picking different times of the day or checking my twitter feed and blog from your mobile devices, but guess what?  I can still tell every single time you look.  Every. Time.  You may think you are computer savvy but I am smarter.  Thanks to all things IP address and all the stats that I have had to learn I know when you check, and where you check from.   Hmmm Scary right??  It is time for you to stop.

In short, move on, get a life and mind your own business.  You must have better things to do.

Signed

Enough Already.

I’m not losing anymore sleep over this.

OH yes @CrazyShenanigans!!! I know where my problem is and what they are doing!! Hoping after this letter this will be the end of it. I shall leave the rest to karma.

Wow, sorry you have to deal with this Stephanie. I hold he disappears.

The crime topics I write about attract many strange emails as well–fortunately for me being an old and bald guy they usually just include lots of curse words about me and my family. Nothing I can’t handle.

Why are people so psycho?! Hope your stalker takes a hike real soon!

I have a similar situation but it isn’t a blog stalker…its a facebook stalker. Its scary, weird, and so not amusing. Be safe. Unfortunately, stalkers can often time go overboard.

I had a small situation similar to this a year ago. Scary and weird.
      Thinking of you my friend.

I am having the SAME problem right now. Guess we should be flattered they find us stalk worthy even if it annoys the crap out of us.

That’s just so crazy! Never had that problem! The only bad thing for me was an anonymous commenter that said something not very nice! Hope this gets your message through!

Ugh! I hate when people do this stuff! I mean really, it’s 2012. We can figure out who it is!

I had a couple of old high school friends BUGGING me for reunion stuff. I politely told them, over the YEARS, to buzz off. I’d moved on. High school was over in case they didn’t get the memo.

One of these people works at the Dept of Justice and her IP kept coming up DOJ, D.C. The other person emailed me one day to say they were done with me (YAY!) and didn’t even know what I was up to anymore.

I replied, “Then tell Jill to stop reading my blog every day.”

The message traveled fast. She stopped.

Ugh – I’m sorry you’re dealing w/this. That sucks. I hope the stalker goes away now and realizes that time is not worth wasting!! They can find something productive to do!

You are so right! Everything you put on the internet is fair game and what is funny is you don’t have to leave a comment to leave a trail!!

      Thanks for the support!
