How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

It Even Impressed My Husband…

in Travel on 01/16/12

I just ran in the rain from the mailbox to my front door.  A BIG brown box clutched to my chest to protect it from the wicked weather.  Once inside, my fingers actually shook as I tore open the box, so eager to see what was inside.  What was waiting for me?  Memories.  Better then any scrap book I could have created, better then all my photos casually stuffed in a box.  A beautiful book from Bellflower Books.

BellflowerBooks

Let me explain, last May my Hubby and I took the vacation of a lifetime.  We had saved and planned and even used a little more room on the credit card then we should have so that I could be ridiculously selfish and celebrate my 40th Birthday in Paris France.  Its a trip I will never forget.  Or will I?  Here it is, eight months later and the details were starting to get a little foggy?  What was the name of that restaurant we loved so much?  Do you recall the name of the Avenue we used to stroll down every single day, and the place with the famous Hot Chocolate was called???

Enter Bellflower Books with an opportunity to create a memory book like no other!  A way to help us preserve those precious memories.

I quickly set up an account on their site.  Here’s the link www.bellflowerbooks.com …trust me, you will want it!  At this point you are able to invite other authors, friends, family members to contribute a page.  Hmmm….we have a big family getaway this August.  Three generations of family going to stay at a cottage together, this might be a great way to preserve those moments!

Now that my account is set up, we are ready for the fun to begin.

Pick the style of book you like.  So many to choose from!  Here is just a very small sample of what is available:

Bellfower2Bellflower2

The rest is easy!  Create a name for your 1st page, select a picture you would like to go with it, download, and then write your heart out.

Create as many pages as you like!

Want to see a few of mine?  Of course you do!

*These screen shots do not begin to exemplify how gorgeous these glossy pages really are!

Once you are done writing, you can go back, edit and even re-arrange pages.

Note: One thing I did not do well enough was proof read before I submitted!  I found two errors!  (I was just two excited to get the book submitted!!)  So my tip to you, proof read and then have someone else read your work and double check!

Use the easy to follow payment instructions and you are done!

Now all you have to do is wait for the delivery.

The waiting is the hardest part.

As I have just now finished pouring over MY creation I truly have tears streaming down my face.  Paris was magic, and now thanks to Bellflower Books those memories are easier to share with friends, family and these incredible moments are preserved for a lifetime!

If you have a trip, a special event, a summer of fun you want to capture, or are looking for a unique gift, I can’t think of a better way to do it then with Bellflower Books!

I’m happy to announce that this wonderful company has offered my US readers a $20.00 discount on the creation of their own Bellflower Book!!  Just use the code SAVE20GC as you check out!  You can also find them on twitter and Facebook.  Don’t be shy about stopping by to say Hello!

I hope you have as much fun creating your Bellflower Book as I did!

Disclosure:  I received a Bellflower Book as compensation for this review.  The opinions in this post are my own.

That book looks magnificent!! The only time we did a photo book it was not nearly as nice and it touted Eurodisney. Hardly Paris.

Oh wait, that is Paris. 🙂

Holy crap!! Something for us poor slobs in the US?!? FINALLY!!! 😉

I’ve actually never used Bellflower Books before, so I just may have to check it out. I’ve made several books with Shutterfly for my brother since his Little Monkey was born, and I’m due for another, now that she’s 6 months old.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE those books of photos. My friend does that for his brides he photographs. I also have a friend who does those for her childrens birthdays, and gives them to the family.
