It was day four of a very nasty stomach flu and now I had to decide.
Was I complaining?
Ummm, maybe just a little.
He had stepped up…in his very own man way, and picked up some of the Mommy slack. Sorta kinda?
Let’s review.
The kids were fed. They got themselves breakfast and lunch each day. I saw Quiznos, Wendys, Tim Hortons and Pogos were “in the house”. Ug.
The kids were Very Happy.
The kids were very dirty. Had either of them seen a tub in the last week?
He did go to the drug store and pick up a prescription, ginger ale and some saltines for me. Wow, what I wouldn’t have given for a second flavour of crackers and maybe some bananas? (but beggers can’t be choosers)
He chaufeered like a crazy man and got each child to every appointment and every activity. Well done.
He brought me ice cream…which, against my better judgement, I ate. Then saw again.
So on day four, when I went to fetch my dehydrtaed body a glass of water and saw my kid drinking from a plastic glass (because there was not a single clean glass left in the house), when I reached for a soup bowl but realized there was no point (the stove top was covered and the counter was littered). I did not complain, I just took a deep breath and wondered what life would be like with a sister wife.
PS This was the last bitchy post about me being sick I promise!!
PPS My Hubby totally redeemed himself last night. He went grocery shopping, made dinner and got me to bed early. Sister wives need not apply.

Oh I hope your better soon but good for hubby for being smart and redeeming himself. Boy if he hadn’t he would have so been in trouble in my house! LOL!
Not fun being sick for that long. Ugh! I had a little boy with that stuff. It just isn’t fun when it’s us though because it will take us a full day to clean up what they don’t. I get frustrated!
