There are moments when…
She melts down completely because she can’t find ANYTHING to wear in her closet full of clothes.
Shopping for new clothes is torture too.
She stomps her feet in anger, and has been known to slam a door in utter frustration. Apparently there is just no better way to display her complete and utter discontent with the world.
She can not find anything good to eat in the cupboard or the fridge. She would rather just sulk and go hungry.
She whines when asked to hop in the shower, and then complains when told that 35 minutes is unreasonably long. Time to get out.
She asks three times, no four, if she can please stay up later. She is relentless.
She has been known to clean her room by strategically stuffing her closet to the brim.
She is 11.
It’s scary, she is exactly like me.
I love her more then life itself.
She must be my Mother’s sweet sweet revenge.

And that is why I’m SO THANKFUL to be the mother to three boys. LOL. I could not DEAL with the drama of a girl. God was looking out for me (and her) because that’s the reason some species of animal eat their young. 🙂
ahhhh yes…that’s about the age you have to re-read their baby book to remind you WHY you prayed to get pregnant and have a BABY (that grows into a tween)! lol. (hugs for both of you)
And wait until they turn 19. Better in many ways but breaks your heart when she waves “bye”.
My baby-waby had a total meltdown this morning because she didn’t like her pants. Then another one because her meltdown preempted breakfast and it was time to go to school. I worship her.
*facepalm* Reading you is reading my future, I just know it!
so funny…thanks for the laugh!
My oldest son is exactly like me. Too clever for his own good, master of sarcasm, procrastinator, smart mouthed, grumpy. There are those moments when I would like to ring his neck, and I look at him and realize he is thinking the same exact thing about me…it’s torture!
You have a mini me, how cute!
I have one too….the doctor told me that we should be able to reason with her when she was 3. I think he meant 30, we have one more year!
Haha! I think everyone’s children become like their mothers..at least in some ways.
Sounds like a perfectly well balanced woman, er – girl – to me!
Except she can’t blame it on PMS… yet… *grin*
Lol! I remember stomping my feet when my curly hair gave me fits and I couldn’t get it to feather right! 🙂 I also think I may have damaged a screen door by slamming it, but I’d have to get the deets from dear ol’ dad.
My daughtr is only 19 months and I can see this already…I think I’m in trouble. 😉
oh that is so true.. Have a great evening..
My mom used to tell me, “Just wait, I hope your child is just like you” Well, it happened. My daughter is so me, it’s scary! LOL
Having raised two daughters, I can so relate to not having anything to wear with a closet full of clothes. I don’t envy you.
My mom always told me when she wasn’t happy with me, that she can’t wait until I had kids. She was so right.
