How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Revenge Takes Time

in Everyday on 05/04/10

teenagegirl2

There are moments when…

She melts down completely because she can’t find ANYTHING to wear in her closet full of clothes.

Shopping for new clothes is torture too.

She stomps her feet in anger, and has been known to slam a door in utter frustration.  Apparently there is just no better way to display her complete and utter discontent with the world.

She can not find anything good to eat in the cupboard or the fridge. She would rather just sulk and go hungry.

She whines when asked to hop in the shower, and then complains when told that 35 minutes is unreasonably long.  Time to get out.

She asks three times, no four, if she can please stay up later.  She is relentless.

She has been known to clean her room by strategically stuffing her closet to the brim.

She is 11.

It’s scary, she is exactly like me.

I love her more then life itself.

She must be my Mother’s sweet sweet revenge.

My daughter is just like me too and I hear words coming out of my mouth that my mom had always said — scary!! I never wanted to turn into my mother, but I guess it happens! Definitely revenge on how we were as kids!! LOL

Oh boy… if that’s the case I have 2 of them. My mom had a son and daughter… I have two daughters. My work will definitely be cut out for me.

On the brightside… if she is exactly like you, then you know how to deal with yourself (in most cases.) I agree that you shouldn’t have to deal with yourself since that’s the job of everyone else around you but in this case you’re one step ahead of the game. 😉

exactly why, after 2 boys, we stopped having kids. i was so afraid of a girl, and that she would be just like me (i was bbbaaaaadddd), i refused to have anymore. it is sad, because hubby would love a girl.
but he didnt meet me until i was 26 and much better behaved.

Oh I have one of those too! My husband finds it incredibly amusing that I must now live with my clone.

My 17 year old has my personality. When I complain about him to my mother….she thinks it’s funny! Funny? No…this is not funny…this is mild torture. The worst thing is when I lecture him and he gets that spacey…quit droning on and on look….I know what he’s thinking!!

Just think in 2 years she’ll be 13. Lordy…I’ll start praying for you now….lol.

Hmm, the way you describe it, teenage girl behavior is a lot like toddler girl behavior. Sounds like I won’t be getting a break for a long, long time!

My daughter is just like me too.

But I blame my husband because he was the wicked child out of the two of us.
