Why?
Why would grown women indulge in frivolous gossip.
Seriously, the PTA is a strange entity.
I don’t care …
who bakes the worst cake
who sells the most magazines
who is late with their dues
who said what
what her daughter did
who is kidding who?
Seal you lips.
Get over yourself.
Jump out of the rumour mill.
Don’t feed the beast.
Be a better person.
Take the high road.
Set an example for your kids.
Love and respect your neighbours and friends.
Shhhh
Silence is golden.
Don’t be a Gossip Baby.

Amen! There is nothing cattier than a group of women trying to “do good”. Yuck! I quit the PTO years ago!
Setting a good example for the children is one of the highest duties of parenting.
Secretia
APPLAUSE!!!!
We are still several years from PTA but our son is already in a private school. He is only 2 and their is one Mom of one of his classmates who is just CHOCK FULL of constant chatter about other parents, who is divorcing, custody issues…blah blah blah. It is both annoying and quite juvenile. My husband said he heard PTA is about the same, only much more volume.
Neat.
Really great post. I just stink at small talk so this post speaks worlds to me.
Amen to that. It gets so tiresome hearing the buzz buzz of gossip… enough already! But alas, some thrive on gossip.
I completely agree! š
Well aid..Amen sister!!!!!
Some women never get over the HS drama. It’s horrible getting sucked back as an adult. I can’t stand that crap and would rather be considered the unfriendly one then be privy to that nonsense.
I don’t know how they found out about how I bake the worst cake! Oh well, I don’t really care!
Good for you for not buying into it.
Hugs!!
Ditto and amen!!!!
The really sad part is this would not happen with a group of men. Why only with women?
Oh by the way, did you hear that….j/k
That is too bad about the PTA. How mean.
great advice, if you want to gossip, start a blog! ha! thanks for enjoying the poem over here, feel free to copy it for your enjoyment.
Too funny…but true. I am a first grade teacher and I hear it all the time! Love the blog!
Ugh, I’m so with you on this. I’m very active in our school’s HSO/PTA and I just keep repeating to myself “I’m doing this for my son”. Awful.
