How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Random Thoughts of the Day

in Everyday on 04/20/09

PMS is not a “Syndrome” …it’s just something I use to rationalize my crazy.

If its called the PTA (Parent and Teacher Association)…where are all the Teachers?

If school starts at 9am then why do I drop my kids off at
8am on Monday for Choir
755 on Tuesday for Cheerleading
8am on Wednesday for Gymnastics
8am on Thursday for Chess

Little. Joiners.

Wow! I will no longer complain about before school activities.
School here is from 9am-3:30pm. Perfect for us. If your kids start at 7am what time are they done?
If they catch the bus at 6am how early do those babes have to get up?? Yikes!

things have gotten so much easier since my older daughter drives… and loves running errands – meaning drive her extroverted sister all over kingdom come.what’s with school starting so late? I like it being early enough that I can justify driving in pajamas – when it’s dark still. The PTA would not approve.

I love that your kids can do extracurriculars before school, but what time do they get our of school? Must be late!

The PTA at our school accomplishes a lot of great things for the kids, but they truly are a clique. I don’t like gossip or nastiness. I’ll continue to be supportive from home. Luv the PMS quote!

Funny. Oh, I made it to PTA a few times. I.couldn’t.take.it.

I’ve seen more nastiness in PTA meetings between crazy parents that must control everything than my 15 years in the corporate world.

      Just sayin’!

CUTE…little joiners. I wonder where they get it from???
PTA? In our case it was where are the parents and teachers????
IT was always the same 6-8 parents….ugghhh.
PMS is real. I live it. 😉

The hubby and I are planning a 7 night lakeside escape just a few hours from home, and honestly, this is where the girl math really starts mathing. After an expensive year, I’m extra grateful for our HomeExchange membership — and I love browsing all the gorgeous lakefront homes nearby!

Do you have a favourite town or lake in cottage country? Tell me!!
