How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

We Will Always Have Paris

in Travel on 06/08/11

I have been struggling with just how to put into words all that was my trip to Paris.

It was walking hand in hand down century old streets until our feet hurt.

It was hot chocolate for breakfast and chocolates for dinner.

It was laughing until our faces ached, talking until we found that quiet comfortable place, and then practicing our French as only two in love can. It was re-discovering life as a couple. Being quiet, being inspired, being awed. It was falling in love all over again.

Paris was more then I could have ever dreamed of.

Paris was Shopping, the Louvre, the Mona Lisa, Versailles, Boat Cruises of the Seine.

It was a Romantic Birthday Lunch at the top of the Eiffel Tower that I will never ever forget.

I carefully documented all my days in Paris in a diary. That is where those private and intimate thoughts will stay.

For now, a few pictures and a dream, that one day we will return and live the vacation of a lifetime all over again.

I first want to say that it sounds like you have a really great marriage and your trip sounds like a dream come true. I always think of the history from the eastern world and how it was back then.

This certainly sounds like a trip of a lifetime and without a doubt I’d go if my circumstances were different. You’ll always have the wonderful memories !

Love this! Nothing can compare with the feeling of energy anywhere you go in Europe. Love that you had such a romantic time together in the “City of love” 🙂

Tammy…the weather was perfect except for that very last day when we remembered to get the video camera out! Sunshine and warm spring nights! We were very lucky.

It sounds like your trip was exactly what you needed, wanted, and hoped for. I think all couples so have a trip like this every few years to rekindle the yummies! Hey, a girl can dream… ah, c’est paris, c’est l’amour!

Oh yay! We had a weekend in Paris for my 40’s birthday and it was just the same, even if we did come home to our own house each night.

I loved the video…what was the weather like? It looked like blue sky in some of the video and dark clouds too…I bet it was the trip of a lifetime! 🙂
