Pay It Forward And Discover The Plusabilities!

Yes, I said “Plusabilities”!

Plus – a – bil – ities | noun: A desire to give more, when receiving more.

My daughter is my inspiration this weekend!  Over the past three days, she shuffled and cleaned. Re-organized and trashed, cleared off shelves in her bedroom and wiped out her closet, ending up with three huge garbage bags of pretty fabulous clothes to donate to local organizations!!  She showed no mercy as she cleaned up her room during her annual “Spring Cleaning”; motivated by nothing more than the desire to donate to those who need it.  I did something right with this one, she has energy to spare and uses it to pay it forward when ever she can.  Yup, proud Mama moment. My SweetGirl loves to lend a helping hand, and I want to encourage and reward this whenever possible!  We will be taking our donations to a local Woman’s Shelter and to Goodwill.  The reward, the act of donating itself!   (and a super clean room with space for new clothes!)

Tide has some big news and ways to help you pay it forward!  Tide Plus is launching a brand new collection in a very big way!  Starting in just over a week Tide Plus is helping Canadians clean out their closet and donate to Goodwill all at the same time.  Introducing Tide Clothing Donation Day events!  These events will take place at prominent family attractions in Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver. Perhaps near you and it’s such a fun idea!

A Tide truck will be visiting prominent family attractions in Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal picking up gently used clothing donations to celebrate new beginnings with its not for profit partner, Goodwill.

The new Tide Plus collection brings you more of what you love, giving you the amazing clean of Tide with added benefits, like Febreze scent and Downy softness. I just can’t get enough of that Downy softness!  To commemorate the launch of this new collection, Tide is taking Plusabilities to the next level, encouraging Canadians to fling out the old and bring in the new!

How can you help?  By donating gently used clothing to Goodwill during Tide Clothing Donation Day events, you’re not only de-cluttering your home, you’re also teaching your kids the value of giving back and the ripple effect, or Plusabilities behind a simple good deed.  

Giving your threads a second life can:

·         Give someone confidence going to a job interview

·         Make a kid smile going to class with a cool pair of kicks

·         Enable skills development and employment and work experience for those who face employment barriers

·         Support community-based programs through the funds raised as Goodwill donates 82 per cent of its revenue back

To thank Canadians for their support, upon dropping off a donation they will receive a Tide Plus coupon booklet so they can experience more of what they love at home.

A great initiative, and yet another opportunity to teach our children how important it is to pay it forward.
