How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Vichy Love

in Everyday on 06/16/13

I have long been a fan of all things Vichy.  As a Mama with super sensitive skin I have to be very careful about what I put on my face. Vichy is a name I know I can trust not only for myself, but for my 14 year old daughter who is a mini me in every way.  (attitude, looks, sensitive skin and all)  So when Vichy sent me a couple of new products to try or course I was thrilled to give them a spin!

This first product that I am truly eager to tell you about is the Vichy LIFTACTIV Serum 10 for Eyes and Lashes. The claim; Instant illuminating and lifting effect to accentuate and rejuvenate the look of eyes.  Can a product really do all of this?  It was time to let this exhausted, over caffeinated, just trying to survive the month of June Mama be the judge of that!

VichySerum

Arriving in a sleek silver box I broke into it and prepared to read the instructions.  (I am after all a ridiculous rule follower)  I was surprised to see the directions for use printed on the inside of the box!  A fabulous idea for Mother Nature as we save on paper, but a bit of a pain to get to the nitty gritty of the how to.

To be honest, I preferred the instructions found on the website:

1. Put a drop of serum on your fingertips, and then spread it.
2. Close your eyes, then apply by lightly pressing around the eye area.
3. With your eyes closed, apply it with a blindfold gesture, from the inside corner of the eye to the outside corner, including the eyelashes.
4. Still with your eyes closed, finish by placing your index finger below your lash line and do upward movements towards the eyelid for an “eyelash curling effect

I was willing to give this a go!  I am tired.  I am over 40.  I would prefer not to look quite so tired and not quite so over 40.  Just saying.

My thoughts:

The product is almost silky to the touch and requires a very small amount to cover the eye area.  The scent is so light as to be almost non existent, and as predicted did not irritate my sensitive skin at all.

My Results:

After using the Vichy Liftaciv Serum 10 for Eyes and Lashes for just a few days I can honestly say I. Am. Hooked.  I have not been great at making my skin a priority.  It’s time!  This routine is easy and is already making a difference!  I notice a small difference in the small lines that are beginning to form around my eyes, and swear to you that my puny little eyelashes appear healthier. The dark circles that have taken up a permanent place under my eyes are not as prominent as before.  A huge improvement for me.

My vote and recommendation; if you have dark circles or lackluster eyelashes the Vichy LIFTACTIV Serum 10 for Eyes and Lashes is worth a try!

This sounds like just the product I have been looking for. Being close to 70 I guess it’s never to late to try something new to help fine lines, etc.
