It’s that time again!! Time to chat all things travel at our second ever #FamilyTravelCA Twitter Chat! So grab those calendars and save the date as we prepare to talk all things Staycation. Ahh the staycation. The perfect solution to beat the winter blues! Can’t get away for a “real” vacation? Think again! Just take a vacation in your own backyard! Get out and explore your own city, try a new restaurant, try the community pool, sneak away for a night to a local hotel, or borrow a friends cottage. There are so many different and wonderful ways to enjoy a staycation and we can’t wait to chat about them all!

Oh I missed the last one but I’ll be at the next one. We had a great staycation last fall and acted like tourists at our local zoo and museums. We even had milkshakes by the river after – lots of fun!
How about house sitting! You get free accommodation, the kids have an awesome time with someone else’s pets, and if you live in a big enough city, or near one, you will more than likely find one close to home 🙂
A staycation is just what I need to break out of the winter blues.

I need winter to move along!! A vacation to some place warm and sunny is more then needed at this point.
Can’t wait for another twitter party! I wouldn’t mind going away somewhere, this warming weather is wrecking havoc and kick starting my spring allergies.
Speaking of family travel, it’s not much but we are taking the boys to a hotel with a pool in Vermont today. They have no idea. They will be very surprised! 🙂
