How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Revitalized, Refreshed, Ready To Go! The Shopping Channel!

in Uncategorized on 09/16/13

The Shopping Channel has a brand new look and I am loving it!  For 26 years, The Shopping Channel has offered Canadians a unique, fun, and convenient multi-channel shopping experience unlike any other.   I just spent a good portion of my afternoon checking out their new super user friendly website and browsing some of their thousands of products for sale.  Things have changed!   Yes, some categories of shopping remain the same, but I had no idea The Shopping Channel had so much to offer!  A refreshed new look, a powerful new line-up of brand name products, and more ways to shop, interact, and be rewarded!

This past Sunday afternoon I had a challenge.  A shopping challenge?  I was up for it.  My task; to shop the site looking at some of my favourite brands and then treat myself to something new and pretty.  (Okay, I might have added the pretty.)  As I took my virtual tour of the site I was pleasantly surprised to see how much there was to choose from.  Where is a girl to start?  At the  Showstopper of the day of course.  It was a KitchenAid Bowl-Lift 5 Quart Deluxe Stand Mixer with $50 Mail-In Rebate & Bonuses (the bonus was a 4 slice toaster and the Mixer Bible)  All of this for only $349.99!  Wowza!!!  Oh I was so tempted to put that little beauty in my cart and be done.  I’ve wanted one of those mixers forever and with the added bonuses, this was such a great deal!

I moved on from all the Kitchen area had to offer and went to check out the Fashion section.  Should I admit I was shocked to fall in love with a dress that I found on-line?  Who knew you could find a dress this fabulous on The Shopping Channel.  This black and white number is the Isaac Mizrahi Live! Sleeveless Dress with Printed Skirt.  I could see dressing it up or down with flats or heels.  So cute!

In the Beauty section I found many brand names I recognized, and so many covet worthy nail polish sets I almost didn’t know where to start.  Perhaps this China Glaze Collection- Inspired by the film, Cirque Du Soleil: Worlds Away.  $31.50 for the entire set.  The colours are brilliant and the no-chip top coat a must!

Thinking of nails, of course led me to shoes!  Check out the Birkenstock Madrid Antique Leather Single Band Sandals I found on clearance!

TSCSandal

Or this pair, not on sale, and yet a really good price for the Birkenstock Gizeh Toe Thong Sandals at $106.00!  Do you think it would be wrong to get both?

I have some travel coming up, so took a minute to check dive into the luggage selection, easily found under Handbags and Shoes.  If you are in the market for a new suitcase or carry-on, it’s worth a click!  I myself am kind of addicted to little bags and accessories, so went straight for the Heys line ( one of my favourite luggage lines).  There I found some great little Heys 3 Piece MiniCase Luggage Sets ($22.97) and toiletry bags ($32.97) in bold colours and great prices!

It’s no secret that I adore shopping on line, I just had no idea The Shopping Channel had such a wide variety of some of my favourite brands.  I’ve now made my shopping selections, placed my order and I will be back to let you know what I ended up buying and what I thought!

If you had to the chance to buy yourself a little something from The Shopping Channel what you pick up?  Do you have something on your shopping wish list?

Thanks for this post. I have really never thought too much about using The Shopping Channel but as I am in need of a few things for an upcoming holiday, I am going to check it out. I too love all of your choices.

Getting ready for an upcoming holiday can be truly stressful!! I love taking some of the sting out of it by doing some late night shopping on line 🙂

Huh, I knew The Shopping Channel sold kind of quirky and different products you can’t find in store, but I didn’t know they carried lines like Kitchen Aid! Thanks for the tip!
