Words of love from the man you hold dearest are powerful. They can soothe you when you are upset, comfort you when you are lonely, make you smile when you are feeling down, and reassure you that everything in life is going to be just fine.
I have been told many times, in many ways, that he loves me and our life above all else. That we have a bright, exciting, fulfilling future together. That I can trust in our love. Then….you get the letter. Your dreams are written there in black and white. You are his best friend, you were meant to be together forever. He loves spending quiet nights with you and truly enjoys all our crazy talks of plans for the future. Is it me? Or does seeing it in black and white make it more real….more concrete.
