How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Manners in the Suburbs

in Uncategorized on 06/22/09

It isn’t hard to be polite. Is it?
Here is a little something that amazingly many people don’t know!

How to RSVP

When you get an invitation to a party:
Open your card.
Check your calender.
Discuss with your significant other. (or not if that’s how you roll)
RESPOND!!
Simple as that.
It really isn’t that difficult.
To ignore, forget, or just be too lazy to bother to respond…that is just plain rude.

Must go now…have to go call those three Mommies out of twenty who are just to busy to RSVP!

Oh that is so true about a lot of stuff and it makes me just shake my head in wonder…….I just don’t get it. I so agree with you. Why is it so difficult??? And if you are not sure because you may have something else you might have to go to – which does sometimes happen – then just let the person know!!!! We get it. We understand!!!!
Unfortunately I think it is a sign of the times……

I’m with you on the RSVP! it’s simply rude, I usually buy them the book of Etiquette by Emily Post. heh heh. With a note attached at Christmas, I thought I’d share with you a wonderful reading tool. Enjoy!
      Love Tami.

Hunny Hubby believes me to be rude. Imagine that!

Not as rude as people I’ve come across. LOL.

I haven’t had a chance to post my beautiful award you gave me, I PROMISE, (NO, I’m NOT crossing my fingers) I will as soon as part 5 is done LOL.

      HuGZ and GOOD LUCK!

Yup, totally agree! What’s worse are those whom you call, who say “I think we’ll be able to make it.” Don’t overwhelm me with the enthusiasm, please. …and then don’t show up. Nice. Or those who show up with more than the invited child, without telling you and you have to scramble for an extra goodie bag.

People just don’t respond these days. I do know that if you give and e-mail address you might get responses, people just don’t like to call!

I am horrible at RSVP’ing. Its my phobia of the phone, I think! Still rude, though!

yeah, it is easy to be polite. I always remember who is the problem people…they usually don’t get too many chances with me. ;0 That is how I roll.

Only 3 out of 20!! WOW!!! This is very good. I do not have that much success with an RSVP.

I also do not understand the rudeness… I have food, liquor, etc…. Can’t you just say yes or no!! Can you not leave your cave for an hour or so???

Be sure to mark the 3 off the invites for next time!!!

i totally agree… and most of the time to rsvp back they dont even have to pick a phone up rather than mail something back… aaaaggghhh!!
