How to Survive Life in the Suburbs

Sometimes it’s the little things

in Uncategorized on 06/02/09

Woke up with a groan and rolled over.
Did not want to get out of bed.
So. Tired.
Peeled my eyelids open.
Desperately tried to focus on the alarm clock.
Huh?
It is only 4:12am!
Actually giggled to myself…I get to sleep for three more hours!
Sigh.
Sometimes it’s the little things that bring one joy in Suburbia.

Are you kidding? That’s the best! Waking up anytime before 5am, and knowing you have a couple more hours is great! Waking up at 6:30…not so good!

The problem about thinking you’ve got time to sleep is that inevitably something happens and the kiddies wake up early and you realise what a fool you were for even imagining you had a few hours left…I’ve look at my clock at 4.30 in the past thinking I’ve got at least 3 hours left and feeling all happy about it and then been woken up an hour later and then spent the whole day being miserable!! Hope you did get as much sleep as you thought.. 😉

that’s always the best!!! I just hate when you wake up around 20 min or so from when you are supposed to…….then you wonder if it’s worth it to try to catch a few more minutes or just get up!

Works for me. Glad you got “extra” sleep.

      It’s WONDERFUL when that happens

Squee! It’s that time again — planning another #HomeExchange getaway!
Leaving the house behind and headed to Ontario cottage country. 🌲☀️
The hubby and I are planning a 7 night lakeside escape just a few hours from home, and honestly, this is where the girl math really starts mathing. After an expensive year, I’m extra grateful for our HomeExchange membership — and I love browsing all the gorgeous lakefront homes nearby!

Do you have a favourite town or lake in cottage country? Tell me!!

One annual membership fee + listing our home = unlimited swaps all year long. Affordable luxury travel for the win.

If you want to travel more often and live like a local, you need to check out @homeexchangecom.
