Perfecting my look?
I have just had a most embarrassing moment in of all places, the food court of our local mall. Run down from Christmas, tired from chasing the kids and making sure everyone else has what THEY need. I ran out of the house looking like something, well something the cat wouldn’t have even bothered to drag in! I didn’t really think it mattered. I had clean hair and lip gloss on and was only going to do one quick Christmas present return, then grab some take out for me and my little one’s. I’d have all my errands done in 45 minutes, so it didn’t matter that I left the house looking and feeling like a dried up old housewife. UNTIL I ran into glamazon. You know her, the one who always looks gorgeous, even when she has just whipped her hair into a pony tail? The one who never looks tired even though she has FOUR kids to your TWO and one of those four always seems to be sick. Ug, so if glamazon always has her act together, then what the heck was my excuse?
Time to pull out a few of the Pantene and Covergirl products I’d been sent and have a little fun. Motive: never get caught feeling like “that sad, tired, run down looking girl” again!
First the hair. Why not try out a new look? I am a fan of flat irons, so the new Pantene Pro-V Heat Shield collection makes sense for me. It protects hair from the ravaging effects of flat irons, blow dryers and curling irons while giving your hair great style without damage! Next time I’m in a hurry I will still go with the pony, but it will be with this new idea from the Pantene styling site; the Posh Pony.
I have always known how to rock a Pony, I just need to pay a little more attention to those fly aways! Hair done, on to make-up. I don’t wear a lot of make-up, but when I do, I make it count. COVERGIRL’s Ink It! by Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner gives you expert precision that lasts with brighter, bolder, shades! Check out the bold colour of this Aquamarine Ink!
I’m a green eyed girl so gravitate more to the blacks, browns, or purple hues, but I was pleasantly surprised with the Gold Ink I was sent to try. It was easy to apply and lasted throughout the afternoon!
Next, fire up the volume with COVERGIRL’s NEW Flamed Out Collection featuring eye products designed to give you the latest red hot looks. Available in 12 blendable colours.
Finish it off with a bright lip courtesy of COVERGIRL Smoochies. Smoochies are available in 12 bold colours and with names like “Tweet Me” and “Text Me” I can’t wait to give some of them a try!
This entire selection of COVERGIRL’s new Flamed Out Collection and Pantene Pro-V Heat Shield collection has an approximate retail value of $70.00 and I’m giving it all away to one lucky Canadian How To Survive Life In The Suburbs reader!
