The Act Of A Real Desperate Housewife–#WW

What happens when your washing machine has been broken for a week and you leave on a trip to Jamaica tomorrow?  This:

Laundry1Laundry2Laundry3

Not enough hours in the day.  Not enough space on the drying rack.  This is the act of a real desperate housewife.  Just saying.

  2. Oh! dear what a pain, have a nice time

    Have a triptastic week ;-)

  3. Oh my. Hope your machine is fixable. Have a great trip.

  4. Oh wow! Hope it gets fixed soon!

  5. I hang clothes off the back deck. I’m sure the neighbors enjoy seeing it!

  6. hey – ya gotta do what ya gotta do!

  7. Seeing as my husband does the laundry, I guess he would have to figure that one out, guess I am spoilt in that way.

  8. It’s called problem solving at it’s best. :)

  9. ha its true and the photos look funny! :)

  10. I live like this often, a small apartment and no where to dry the clothes!
    :) Danica

  11. haha..I know how it feels…they will get dry eventually…have a fab trip to Jamaica…

  12. Oh no! Maybe when you come home Santa will have brought you a new one! Errr strike that- who wants an appliance for Christmas? Safe travels.

  13. Oh, no! At least you have your trip to help you unwind soon!

  14. I don’t know what I would do! I am doing laundry like every day here! At least you have a lot of area for hanging…;) Have a great trip.

  15. Doesn’t this take the varnish off the rail? I was using chairs a couple of times and oh the mess… I’ve had good luck with the curtain rods in the bedroom windows.

  16. Sad to say …I have been there! :( Have fun!

  17. I’ve seen my aunt do that before too! Hey if it works… :)

  18. Put a few more drying racks on your Christmas list, woman!

  19. I’m feeling for ya….

  20. I have found many times in life that you have to do different things sometimes to get the job done.

  21. Nice – my bedroom looked like this on Sunday after doing about 9 loads of laundry. My dryer works just fine but I have a lot of stuff that has to hang dry. You gotta do what you gotta do. :-)

  22. Eeek! I washed all my towels and comforters last week and then the apartment complex dryers weren’t working. That was a pain, too! Best of luck.

  23. Looks like something I would do! Okay, I HAVE done it many times. The one thing I miss about living in Arizona is the opportunity to hang everything outside, everyday, and have it dry in about 10 minutes! Not so much in Portland, OR! HA!

  24. I hope everything went fine and you are on your way to my homeland, Jamaica! Do have a whale of a time Stephanie!

  25. joanna garcia says:

oh no, i hate when that happens, but when life gives you lemons you make lemonade! we need clean clothes!

  26. Teresa Honores says:

omg i understand about not enough hours in the day and it takes forever to dry! AYEYAYAY i hope the machine gets fixerd soon!

  27. haha what ever it takes to get it done eh?
    have fun on the trip!

  28. I’d say that stinks, but you are going to Jamaica. Jealous!
My entry is #34. Come by and vote for us 1 last time?

  29. Awe man, that stinks right before a trip! Happened to me recently and I had clothes draped over chairs and couches near our pellet stove to dry quickly. Have a fun trip!

  30. Oh no! I hope it’s been fixed by now!

  31. oh wow! that is funny! well, you gotta do what you gotta do i guess! hhehe

  32. Judy C (Judy Cowan) says:

Lol…been there done that before! I swear major appliances always decide to break when you need them the most. Our oven died last year at Christmas, which was not fun!

  33. Victoria Ess says:

Haha that is quite a sight!! Way to work around an unlucky situation, though. The act of real clever housewife!

  34. Haha! I always hang laundry all around the house as well!

  35. Darlene Schuller says:

I can’t even begin to imagine… oh dear..

  36. Cheryl (@loucheryl) says:

I’ve done the EXACT same thing!!! LOL!

  37. lol when our dryer broke, this was exactly what my house looked like trying to dry all of our clothes.

  38. Thats pretty funny! (punctuation not working on my laptop)…..I have done something like this before but when there were no free dryers in apartment…..doesnt leave clothes feeling as nice and soft though.
