Vacations, Never Long Enough With Global Resort Homes

Had it really been seven nights?  We were packing our bags, loading up the Chevy Traverse with a ridiculous amount of luggage, and I overheard my youngest saying aloud the one thing we were all feeling; she just didn’t want to go home.  This my friends is the sign of a truly successful vacation.

My family of four has just spent a roller coaster of a week in a gorgeous Global Resorts Home in the community of Windsor Hills Kissimmee, and we were not ready for it to end.  One glorious week in a six bedroom four bathroom house complete with pool and hot tub.  A home away from home that was fit for a king, or in our case, one self proclaimed travel snob, her SassyHubby and two very happy girls.

This is where I get to tell you all about it!!

Our flight to Orlando got off with just a small hitch.  A short delay of about thirty minutes.  Not bad in the grand scheme of things, sheer torture for two girls who have been doing the Florida countdown for 45 days and have a Mother who already delayed their trip by a week because she had the nerve to accept an invite to go to the Grammys.  Meh, let’s just say by the end of the week all was forgiven.

We finally loaded up the plane, enjoyed our 2 1/2 hour flight and landed safe and sound in the land of Disney!  Already I was wondering why we don’t do this more often!  Flying WestJet direct from our home town of is a DREAM!

We headed straight to Global Resort Homes head office to pick up our orientation package for our rental home in Windsor Hills.  Global Resort Homes manages over 300 properties all around the main attractions of Disney and Windsor Hills is a gorgeous gated community only 2.5 km from the gates of Disney!   From 2-bedroom upscale condos to spacious 7-bedroom homes, you're sure to find accommodations that will suit your every desire and need.  Needless to say with all this experience, Global has this “Welcome” thing down pat.  It was after normal office hours when we arrived, so all we had to do was punch in the provided code into an outside pick up box to get all our home instructions and entry information. Easy.

As we entered Windsor Hills the excitement really started to bubble over.  I’ve stayed in a LOT of rental areas, and probably rented more then a dozen homes, the big worry is always the same; is this house really going to be as it appears on the internet?  We drove down Archfeld Blvd, pulled in the driveway and piled through the front door.  It took only seconds to realize that we had found a true home away from home.  2576 Archfeld Blvd exceeded all expectations.  We were jumping up and down with excitement at the prospect of spending an entire week in this huge 2800 square foot, contemporary home.

We dumped our bags in the front hall and went exploring!  First Impressions: If I was to be honest I would have to admit that in some ways this vacation house was prettier then my very own home! Seriously.  A bright open living area flowed into the dining room and then into the gorgeous kitchen.

The kitchen was fully outfitted with everything you could ever need to whip up a quick meal, and even had stainless steel appliance's and granite counter tops.  (uhh this Mama does not yet have granite!)  A sweet little table for four was set off to the side.

The kitchen was directly beside a cozy family room with a big screen TV.  Hello movie night!  There was also a games room, full laundry, and of course the best part, the private heated pool with attached hot tub!!

The incredible details of this vacation home, the community, the area and Global Resorts are just too plentiful to go into in one post and I don’t want to miss one beautiful thing!  Over the next couple of weeks I will be taking the opportunity to tell you all about the reason I am in love with travelling with my family, our experience with Global Resort Homes, the adventures we took and how this vacation is one we will never forget.

I hope you will join me as I tell the tale of our latest family adventure, follow along, and fire off those questions.  I can’t wait to tell you all about it, and confession, we are already plotting our return!

Disclosure: I received a complimentary stay with Global Resort Homes, however all opinions reflected in this post are my own.

An entire house? Love this idea instead of squeezing our family of 5 into a hotel room!

@Brian We have only been back a week and I already miss it! Perhaps it's time to go back?? :)

Stephanie said...

@Natalie, staying in an entire house is a completely different kind of vacation! I highly reccommend you give it a try!

Great vacation! I have never been to Florida but I assume it has lots of bugs because whenever I watch House Hunters all the homes have those screened in patios. Pools are the best, they keep the kiddos busy for hours and get all their energy out.

@Jacki Global Resort Homes has a huge variety of areas to choose from in the Disney area. We looke through a lot of them so do let me know if you have any questions, happy to help!

@Marie Perhaps the screens are for summertime bugs? We didn't encounter a single one and we ate outside by the pool a few times :) Love!

What a fantastic looking home!! I'm looking forward to reading more about it. It certainly makes sense to book a home like this as opposed to several hotel rooms especially for a larger group.

What a beautiful vacation home. And so clean (you always wonder when booking a place online if you'll get a less-than-family-friendly place in real life).

Looks like a place I would want to take my kids!

That place looks amazing! We travel with a family of 6 so hotels are getting very tight. This is what we need to move toward!

WOW, that place looks amazing! Definitely more comfy than staying in a hotel. We don't travel much so I've never heard of renting a house before - what a great idea!

Great idea. the kids can go wild and make noise without disturbing people as they would in a hotel. Love the pool too.
