Welcome!

I'm often amazed and confused by the bizarre happenings behind the closed and competitive doors of the typical suburban home. The following is a place to share my thoughts and reflections on daily life as I try to navigate this crazy and wonderful world.

Crushing on Inanimate Objects - Loving Toshiba

I am jinxed.  Well, when it comes to electronics anyway.  As a matter of fact, my loving Hubby has “banned” me from touching his laptop.  (Yeah, so he doesn’t have to know I touch touch TOUCH it just to spite him ALL the time) Ahem.  Anyway, back to me.  I have managed to kill one computer, one cell phone and no matter how careful I was with my notebook, I hung it, froze it and ended up cursing at that thing just about every single day.  Me and pretty electronic things just don’t get along.  Until now!!!

Enter into my world this super pretty Toshiba Satellite L745 Laptop.

She arrived on my doorstep all wrapped up in bubble paper.  I might have “squeed” a bit as I unwrapped her shiny newness.

Now that I have been using the Toshiba Satellite L745 Laptop for more then a month I can say with confidence that there are many reasons it is the perfect laptop for me….for you!

*It is user friendly.

*It is light weight ( I take her everywhere)

*It has a 14” HD Screen!

*It has a built in DVD player.

*Boasts more then 8G of memory, more storage then I will ever need.

*I have to discuss the keypad.  Having gone through my share of keyboards, I have to tell you I love the touch, the feel, of the keys.  It sounds like a silly thing, but it makes a difference!

*The laptop has built in stereo speakers.

*An integrated web cam.

*Ports include a place where I can slide my full size memory card.  (no more hunting for the camera cord to hook up!)

*The battery life on this laptop lasts FOREVER!  I have gone more then 5 hours without having to plug in!

*One other feature that must be mentioned…face recognition!  Very Star Trek!! Toshiba explains this futuristic feature like as follows:

Log on—with just a smile.

Toshiba Face Recognition is the ultimate hands-free, hassle-free way to logon to your laptop. No keeping track of hard-to-remember passwords. No unnecessary typing. Just your unique visage gazing into the built-in Webcam on your notebook and presto―you’ve got access! How’s that for sci-fi technology?

I would describe it as extraordinary!!

In summary, the Toshiba Satellite L745 is the perfect, reliable and budget friendly choice for students, bloggers, and Mamas alike!

As I made my way through University, work and now my blogging career, I have used and abused many brands of laptops.  I can say in all honesty this Toshiba Satellite Laptop has been by far my favourite!  Confession, I’m crushing on my Toshiba Laptop.

Our last two laptops have been Toshiba and I love them. Unfortunately, when we realized we needed another computer in this house I had to go with a small, tiny notebook for cost reasons.

I've had this Toshiba Satellite for a couple of years now, and I love it. I, also, have the face-recognition thing, but I don't use it. You're tempting me to try it, though. :)

I love my Sony. But I'd be up for a change! Glad you found a new crush!

I, too, kill electronics. Even watches. I stopped wearing them years ago because they break within a few months. Changing the battery does not help. I think it's my body chemistry. Well, the cell phones break because I drop them. All the time.

I love to see what other bloggers use. Love the face recognition, great for me as i have teens. I just bought a new laptop and my puppy chewed the power cord lol But before that I broke the screen on my new netbook and my dd spilt juice on my old laptop frying it

I am so technologically challenged I don't know how to get online via wi-fi. I know you said jinxed not challenged, but I will prefer to think of it like we are in the same category.

This is awesome. I think my new laptop is almost ready to be replaced... yep, I said new. I will not disclose what kind it is... but I am not satisfied 4 months later.

I want one! Sadly, in this household, we'll never, ever purchase a computer, much less a brand new one. My husband rebuilds and works on servers for a living, so I'm usually typing away at some 1987 relic. :)

Enjoy your new technology. :)

The feel of a keyboard is one of the most important features of a computer for me!

I absolutely Love, love love my Toshiba satellite. It is an older version but it has been my favorite so far and I would buy another one when this one sadly bites the dust.
