Welcome!

I'm often amazed and confused by the bizarre happenings behind the closed and competitive doors of the typical suburban home. The following is a place to share my thoughts and reflections on daily life as I try to navigate this crazy and wonderful world.

Wordless Wednesday

seniors

Have I been living a sheltered life?  This is the first Seniors Crossing sign I have ever seen!  Cute huh?

That is new. I have never seen one. They totally need that in the town I grew up in down in South Florida. Everyone down there is elderly. Cute sign.

Wait, are you sure that isn't for seniors in HS? With their noses to their phones texting, I bet they forget to look both ways before crossing the street...

Wow. Is this in an area highly populated by seniors?

So cute.
I hope to avoid having this in front of my house...at least for a few years.

In my neighborhood the signs say "slow children" i think it would be more appropriate for this sign.."slow seniors"...LOL..and no Ive never seen it before..I guess were all sheltered..!

I have never seen one of these! And I used to live in Orlando!

You really gotta watch out for those seniors...thy are notorious for darting out in front of cars.

i think that's cute! they should also make a 'slow mom who doesn't feel like moving any faster for your impatient #@%'

or maybe that would be too much.

would be very funny if there were a Moose sign on the post too, or maybe a 'no hunting'!!

It was new to me, too.

I kind of chuckled when I saw that and immediately thought they should have given the guy a cane or walker. Haha.

That's hilarious! I had no idea they had signs for seniors! We have a lot of deer crossing signs where we live and on one of them someone put a red circular sticker on the nose of the deer. It looks so funny!

Come to think of it I don't know that I have ever seen one lol

They really need that sign at this time of year, because it's hard to spot them (& their little q-tip heads) against the background of all of that snow. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.

The speed limit sign on that street is probably 20 MPH too!

That is hilarious! I have never seen that before!

The best were the signs down here in San Diego a lot of years ago that had a man, a woman, and the woman pulling a kid along. It was supposed to tell us to watch for illegal citizens of Mexico crossing the freeways. The man had a bandana and the mom was literally running so fast with the kid that the kid was like dangling sideways like a kite or something.

That is so cute! It isn't in Bronte, is it? My Grandmother lives there. It seems like there are many old people in the area!

Hahaha! That wouldn't stay on that pole very long, around here! I would really need it for a gag gift. ;)

ROFL, I was going to post that I had never seen this before and I can't believe it exists, and then from my "peripheral" hearing I hear "contact Dr. if you experience an erection lasting more than four hours" Oh it just set the scene!

Mrs. Fish aka Two Fish said...

OMG we so need those down here for all of our "Senior" visitors! Fabulous.
