My day begins like many other Mama’s out there. The crazy rush to get the kids out the door. Don’t have a single thing for the kids to eat for lunch cause the sandwich meat just smelled a wee bit funky as I pulled it from the crisper, all the good “school” clothes are somehow still in the laundry basket, and my blackberry is telling me I have to be at a meeting at 9am. This was excellent planning. Not.
We scramble, create a stellar lunch of leftover pasta with a side of “I’m very sorry honey here is a scrumptious chocolate cupcake to make up for it”, and de-wrinkle some clothes in the dryer. I make that meeting, dressed to kill, and no one is the wiser.
How has this happened again?
Oh yes, perhaps part of my issue is the fight for precious computer time. Our family computer, though old, is still one of the most popular places in the house. I have to out fox two computer savvy kids and fight with my Hubby for some quality face to face with that precious keyboard and screen.
How would my life be simpler with an HP Mini 110? Well for one thing I could get in my quality twitter, facebook and blog time at human hours, not the allotted time I have now between the hours of 10pm and 2am!
If I had a beautiful HP Mini to call my very own. I would give her a sweet sweet name like Doris or Bella and love her and care for her like she was one of my own babies. I would never let her get dirty. No sticky fingers covered in jam and peanut butter. I would protect her from my other children. I would even hide her from the great big thumping fingers of my Hubby. She would be mine, all mine. I could keep track of all of my facebook, twitter and bloggy friends! I could write uninterrupted, create schedules, pay bills on time ….the list is endless. Little Bella would make my life lovely. Oh how I long to own a sweet little HP Mini of my very own.
Sigh…….heart rate slowing now.

OMG yes I would love to have the opportunity to win one. We have been having problems with our home laptop and while I worked with Dell to rebuild it, it still has issues. ::sigh::
Thanks for the entry!

It would make my life better because I would win. Winners never quit, so by getting that HP I would stop being a quitter. That would really benefit me I think,

good luck, I hopeyou win. I'm living on fixeruppers from the late 80's early 90's!
Currently, my desktop is located IN my children's playroom. The netbook would make it possible for me to lock myself in a closet somewhere for some quiet time while I blog:)
Thanks for the AWESOME giveaway!
I am sure everyone would like a new laptop...I am using my old PC right now...a laptop would make it more easier for myself because we would be able to use the PC for work purposes only. Thanks for the great giveaways. rebeccae69@hotmail.com
Being a SAHM, full time babysitter to the nephew, part time of the neice and nephew, going to school online full time, and living in the brother-in-law and sister-in-laws basement is a little stressful. Having 3 people taking college courses online and 2 kids that need a computer daily for school and only one computer...beyond stressful. Oh to have my own mini...not having to do homework at midnight, not tring to figure out who hit what button to make my icons become life sized...I might even have an extra 5 minutes a day to, like, you know, shower!
I would love to win one!

Why do I want to win, because I love winning!!!! I could give it to my daughter & SIL who are in need of a computer, it would make life better for them and as a parent that is my top priority!

Oh, yes. Yes, please! mymommyneedsatimeout@gmail.com
I got so excited, I forgot to leave my reason. It is because I have 6 children. Four of them are now old enough to use a computer. My desktop has a disc drive that is glued shut...by a peanut butter and marshmallow fluff sandwich. I won't replace it, beacuse the last desktop? It was ruined by a PB&J sandwich. So, I'm holding out, until my more destructive children get a bit older. In order to squeeze in computer time, my older children will sneak out of bed in the middle of the night to get on the internet. I. Hate. That. When I wake up in the middle of the night with my babies, I sometimes just stay up, because the unused computer beckons, begging me to harvet my FarmVille crops, or check my email. Come dinner time? I. Hate. Me.
Another laptop that could be all mine? Wow. THAT would be cool. I think I'd hide in my closet and tap into our wifi, just to keep it a secret from my kids, and maybe from my hubby too!
The HP would simplify my life because I would then NOT have to share our one computer with my husband!!

Do you have to be a mom to enter? Can't you just be someone trying to make the world a better place by working for a pittance at your non-profit job and living in NYC, one of the most expensive sities in the country, hence being too poor to afford a new laptop after yours died about two months ago and so having to go to Kinkos to send resumes to other non-profit listings hoping you will get a new job that you still won't make money at, but where you may at least be treated with an ounce of respect unlike your current job...

WOW...this would be so wonderful. Throw it in my bag..and I am on the road. AGAIN!!!

Who would'nt want a mini..you can take them everywhere ..and secretly too...In your purse...

Wow what a great giveaway for Moms! And I love that you would name her. LOL!
How the HP would simplify my life? Well, it looks like the perfect sized computer for the kitchen that could be for mom and mom alone. I agree with you - all that time that could be spent online with such convenience...awesome!
Woo Hoo!! I would love one!! I have to share my computer with 4 other people and during the summer and vacations that gives me no computer love time:( Also our computer is 8 years old and is slower than my digestive track;)
vickerles@aol.com
I have 5 kids and the first 4 are all online in their spare time...sofia is only 2 but she has been eyeing up the computer keyboard for quite some time already. It won't be long before I am shoved off my computer by yet another child. we could certainly use an extra one.
kimberlyoconnor2002@yahoo.com
Oh yes please! It would be so nice to have a mini instead having to carry the big OLD bulky laptop back and forth to school... please please please!!
christyanddavid09 (at) yahoo (dot) com
Oh - I hope you get your wish!
this post is EXACTLY how i feel about my little mini.. i love her forever!!!!!
i so hope you win the mini.. you so deserve!!!
oh, a mini would be nice...like a good friend to follow me to all the coffeeshops, allowing me acess to my other friends through the internet...
TOTALLY BUSTED with the pack lunch dilema...been there done that!!! Made me literally laugh!!
Hope the meeting went well!
As for the computer...it sounds GREAT...the laptop would be nice...I have a desktop....and LOVE IT...just got an iMAC, but do have several GIRLFRIENDS I'd have to consider giving it to if I won. HOW FUN would that be to WIN and be able to give a WONDERFUL GIFT to one of them!!!
I'll be back to check on you!
I haven't had a computer for almost two years because my computers got hacked into. What would I do with a computer now? Well, if I would have to live in constant fear of it getting hacked again, the answer would be I wouldn't want one. If I ever finish the book I'm writing, I'm going to use a word processor or typewriter to finish it the old fashioned way.
After all, who can be creative if one can't relax enough to feel in control of their own thoughts?
I do hope you win the computer though.
Good luck!
My 6-year-old already asks me "Are you done yet? Are you done yet?" when I'm on the computer. My 3-year-old is starting to ask, "Can I use coo-poo for PBS Kids dot org?" So, really, I'm thinking about *them*. ;-)

The HP Mini would simplify my life because I wouldn't have to rely on my old-old-old desktop computer anymore!

You really do deserve your own computer!
I would LOVE to have one of these cute mini HPs. My laptop died in the spring and I have nothing to take with me to my graduate classes! I teach during the day and take classes in the evenings and summers and have to hand write my notes. This would definitely be a blessing!!
I hope you win..
I don't own a laptop, and this mini sounds divine! I think that if I had one, I'd keep it a secret. I would get things done and leave people in my wake wondering how I manage to hold it all together. Mainly though, I'd use it in my kitchen to search for recipes while I cook.
Yes, I would love one too b/c then I wouldn't have to fight for computer time either! And it only gets worse as the kids get bigger.
I rarely win anything but still love to comment on your posts, you brighten my days so much with your snapshots of real life!
But Oh, to have a new computer to replace this piece-o-crap Dell... that I've hated since day one and it has hated me back twice as much...
Bliss.
Here's to hoping? :)
I would love to win a new HP mini notebook. I too am a fighter. A fighter who has to wrestle with a hubby and two kids to get my time in on the computer. Blogging would be so much easier with an extra computer in the house. Our upstairs computer is also slower than molasses! Pick me!
tammystwocents@q.com
It would make my life simpler because I would be able to take it on the go! I find myself in situations where I am sitting around and I think of a great post idea. I could just whip this mini out and get to typing! Time consuming...thanks for the chance!

I'd love to have a netbook, it's a great compact laptop to be able to zip around town with.
This is a GREAY giveaway!
I would love to win one! My laptop is on its last leg, and I would hate to have to go back to one of our old desktops.
Why I would love to win? Let me count the ways, LOL.... Well my husband has petitioned the courts to get my computer back:( I know what a jerk, right? Even though the thing was my birthday present! I told him I will throw it off a bridge before he can have it....but it would be nice if I could have a new one and let him stick this one where the sun don't shine... He already gave his girlfriend my Christmas present, so why not the bday present too? Anyway....wishing on a star that I could win something for once in my life!! Mommagayle25@bellsouth.net
Found you from the mbc and following you now!
omgosh, what a great giveaway! sounds like u had a crazy hectic morning! ah, yes fighting for computer time with the siblings. i still remember those days long, long ago LOL :)
the hp mini is perfect because it's compact and i could really use one that's small enough to tote everywhere. plus, my current laptop is slowly dying on me (dies in less than 5 minutes when on battery power) and weighs a ton. this hp mini would definitely simplify my life:D thanks so much for hosting this giveaway!

Oooo, I would SOOOOO love a HP Mini 110! I'm starting a new graduate program this month, and I need it for school. Plus, I wouldn't have to share a computer with my teenager. :)
I would love to win a HP mini! I am a very busy mom of two teenage sons and I am always on the go. The HP mini is so portable I could take it everywhere with me!
jedoggett@embarqmail.com
A mini would definitely simplify my life because I wouldn't have to lug around that heavy laptop anymore! And it would fit inside my handbag instead of being so conspicuous in a carry around laptop bag. And besides, you don't always want to carry your laptop with you but leaving it in the car is a direct invitation to thieves to break in and steal it. Being able to carry it in my purse is a major advantage!
Great prize! I'd love to win one. I think it would make my life simpler becase something like this would be fab for the housewife on the go. My giant desk top is not going to fit in any of my lovely designer bags.
*kisses* HH

An HP Mini 110 would simplify my life by allowing me to keep up with all of my computer activities (blogging, emailing, entering contests, social networking, surfing the Internet, etc.) when I'm not able to be on my laptop (which just so happens to be an HP) for whatever reason. With 4 kids, the reason I'm not able to be on my laptop could be anything! :O
What a fab giveaway! I currently use my work computer for personal tasks in the evenings which creates a giant sense of guilt in me. If I had my very own netbook, I would use it for my photography, keep it in my kitchen for online recipes, and of course sit on my couch and read/write blogs... All guilt free!
I wouldn't get eye strain and eventually go blind trying to facebook, tweet, and blog on my iPhone. Seriously, if I won one, I could continue to drive my kids places and make dinner from a cookbook. Without it, I may be doomed and so will my family.
I would love to win this, everyone in my family has a laptop but me, this little notebook would be a great way to keep organized on the go, there is so much I could do with recipes, patterns, and more if I had a notebook!

It would be great to actually have my own computer with no kids lurking around it.
Fun blog post! & Wouldn't it be sweeeeet to win one of these HP minis? Mom of seven, dreaming of adopting number eight, and welcoming any simplification I can find in my life!

Good Luck to you! I blogged & entered, too!
This HP 100 Mini netbook would be a blessing to our family, too, as we only have one old desktop to share amongst our family of 7. We rely heavily on spreadsheets, lists, email and schedules, etc. to streamline our day to day activities, and the portability of the HP 100 mini would make it so effortless and stylish. Plus, mobile computing would be perfect to pass the time--when time seemingly stands still--like when waiting in a doctor's office!
Good Luck!

This would be great! I am trying to start my own home business making kiddie clothing and this would help out TONS! Thanks for the opp--keeping my fingers crossed! :-)
This would make my life tons easier while starting my own home business! I forgot to leave my e-mail on the last one, so if you could please just delete it, sorry! Thanks for the opp!

I also entered & came from MBC 50. Good luck!
I would like to have a small computer like this to be able to take anywhere for everyday tasks.
I have to do a lot of traveling and I use a friend's extra laptop while I'm on the road. It would be great if I didn't have to use his and didn't have to carry such a big thing through airport security!
It would make my life simpler because I wouldn't have to lug my 5 year old laptop home from work.

I need an organized life! I hope to win the HP mini too!
ROFL Love her and name her Bella! I love it!! Great post!
Good luck!
Something this small would be really convenient for me since I need a computer for work and it is light enough to take on the bus which I use to commute every day. I could check e-mails & bills on my commute. My old laptop was actually stolen recently so I would love a new one! Good luck!

Yeah...you are a little better than me though because at least you make dinner in order to have the leftover pasta. And you made chocolate cupcakes too? You go girl!
OMG! To have one of the3 HP Mini 110 would really make my life easier because I would be free to move aro9nd the house and not have to sit in just one place in front of the desktop computer. I could take it with me on the long trips to my doctor appointments, and while waiting to see my doctors. Thanks for the chance to win one and good luck to you too!
prpldy (at) comcast dot net
Good Luck!
I love how you would name your HP Mini!
Wow, no more scraps of paper floating in my car, my purse, or everywhere in the house with me frantically digging through them to find the "the" one with the time and the date for the meeting, the kids' rehearsal, the time hubby's train comes in, etc. The HP Mini would help me tremendously as I not only have to be up on my schedul but all the families of my kids I go babysit for in various cities and even countries (Japan in March) my other obligations too. Please help me!!
In life, we are always taught that bigger is better. Well, that does not hold true for all aspects of my life. I am a mother. With this comes tons of responsibility. With all the chaos in the morning (getting son ready for school, me work), I’m lucky if I leave the house with a matching pair of shoes. I like order, planning, and to be on-top-of-it type of gadgets. If I win the HP 110 mini notebook, I may be able to gain some time – one that was lost in all the madness we call life – because I will be organized again. I can check my mail, respond, make appointments, create schedules, and socialize again. Besides, who wants to tote a laptop around the size and weight of a newborn baby? Heck, I mine as well get a sling for it (just kidding). The HP 110 mini notebook proves that big things can come in small packages
It would be so convenient to have a netbook for on-the-go computing, and this one is so pretty.
I was looking at the HP mini Tord and Windows 7 and love all the features of both. The laptop is beautiful and Windows 7 features would really simplify my life. I love that it has a large HD and it has quick access features to find the files I need. And there is fast web surfing.
member(dot)thao(at)gmail.com
I've never owned a laptop but have started wanting one. This one sounds ideal.
Yes I would love to win a laptop! i have never had one before and this one even has Windows 7 which my old desktop can't support.
I would love to win this mini. It would definitley help organize and simplify my life.

I would really love to win an Hp mini! I've been fantasizing about being able to get away from this desk and let me tell you it is a very intriguing thought! To just wander off where ever I please.. the kids could use the desktop and mommy can still get her work done!
I would love an HP mini! It would definitely simplify my life!
an HP Mini 110 would simplify my life in ways that I can not even spell, lol
good luck to you and me ;)
militaryfamof8@yahoo.com
Good luck everybody!
Good luck!
I would hide from my children in the bathroom and finally have some alone time w/ the computer!!
Man my life could use some simplifying! I would love to be able to write my blog posts on the go or during lunch breaks. Now if the HP Mini 110 could help me get my daughter to sleep through the night, I would be in LOVE (even more!)
This would be great! I'd love to be able to work on the go, like while I'm waiting for the kids to finish piano or dance lessons.
ajolly1456 at gmail dot com
I would love to win this. It simplify my life so much! Good luck!
LOL. You'll name your computer? If you don't know Liz from This Full House, you need to introduce yourself. She just got a new sofa and named it.
I submitted an entry also. Good luck to both of us. If my post doesn't win, at least maybe my comment will. :)
a hp mini would be an awesome pc to have thanks for the chance to win eaglesforjack@gmail.com I love the size
I am in the process of trying to start my own business and I currently work from home...but I rarely stay in one place with my laptop. As I suffer from degenerative disc disease in my cervical spine - coupled with a heavy laptop - changing my "workspace" throughout the day is NOT an easy task.
The HP Mini would simplify my life by allowing me to move my computer from place to place on my own...no more bothering the rest of the family! This netbook would be a true lifesaver!
Thanks so much!

I would soooo love to win this! I'm a work-from-home mom with my own business so I could totally use this! I hope I win! Thank you!!!!
