Welcome!

I'm often amazed and confused by the bizarre happenings behind the closed and competitive doors of the typical suburban home. The following is a place to share my thoughts and reflections on daily life as I try to navigate this crazy and wonderful world.

Almost Wordless Wednesday

The simplicity of Side Walk Chalk.
Is there a better way to spend an hour on a spring afternoon then creating a masterpiece with your children on the driveway? Every child should have crayons, and every child should have side walk chalk.
Giant works of art that Mother Nature cleans up for you.
I wonder how much longer my girls will want to sit in the warm sun and just colour with me? I'm thankful for today, I'll enjoy it while I can.

That's a good idea. You never know, there could be a Julian Beever in the making.

And be sure to take a photo of any potential Picasso artwork BEFORE Mother Nature intervenes!

We love this too.
I had 3 teenagers at my house this past summer 13-15 yrs old...they spent hours on our driveway doing just this. They still like to blow bubbles too. ;)

with you there : except a neighbour threatened the children in our close with the police as she deemed it graffiti. I saw it as a hopscotch game and beautiful patterns to be enjoyed now and washed away in the rain - you can't please all of the pople all of the time!

Coloring with chalk on the sidewalk and in coloring books is so much fun to do with the kids. Great thoughts you posted there.

I was just having the same kind of thoughts...saw a toddler in the cart today at Staples and had a flashback of my little girl in the cart. Seems so long ago. I need to hold onto every precious second. Today it's dance dress rehearsal. It will be my wordless Wed. pic for sure.

Just the picture made me smile, thinking of my sidewalk chalk artwork growing up. I loved doing that. I can't wait to share that with my munchkin when he gets a bit bigger!

PS - I left a little something for you on my blog of the award variety - I hope you like it! :)

Oh I can't wait to bust out the sidewalk chalk...mine would just eat it right now, but maybe by the end of the summer...

Those were the days...certainly brings back many memories of playing with my kids and my daycare kiddies. We'd all come in afterwards with chalk all over our clothing, and smiles on our faces.

Ooh I just might get up in the morning and do that with my girls before it gets too hot. I need some color time. Thanks for stopping in and leaving such an awesome comment. We are so glad you like our blog. I really like yours as well.

Sidewalk chalk is one of the greatest inventions known to mankind. And the fact that mommies like it as well is icing on the cake!

Great WW!
